This is probably already explained somewhere else, but I'm at a loss as to where to find it.

If a creature which takes double damage from fire (Chraal) also gets resist 5 fire (from dragonshrine map) then takes 10 fire damage, does he take:

(10-5)*2 = 10 damage

or

(10*2)-5 = 15 damage

I belive that the owner of the chraal gets to decide in what order he takes damage, im not sure, there might be a rule for order of mathmatical opertions during DDM.

I am a nerd, originality and strangeness are good. Blind conformity and stupidity are unforgiveable. All else said, DnD FTW!!

Add up all of the damage causing elements, then apply reductions.

Therefore:

(10*2) - 5 = 15

Or in the case of a fireball where the Chraal makes the save:

(20/2) - 5 = 5

What, you don't trust us? [)] Probably a good idea.

Check out the Wizards FAQ, under "Damage"
