| OFFICIAL European DDM Championship 2006
Newsletter, FINAL
Registration Process:
Your responsibility:
DCI number and warband registration document (use official version). Don’t worry if you have neither – there will be forms at the venue.
Process: 1) At arrival your forms (DCI and Warband) will be either checked or provided for you to fill in 2) You will go to the cashier – they will cross check your online bookings, payment and requirements. You will receive your delegates’ pack, name badge, game and meal vouchers 3) Progress to the warband registration where your warband will be entered into Bifur and, finally, 4) progress to the DCI report manager to register yourself.
Competitions: Saturday – main 200pt European Championship and the 200pt drop out tournament. The latter one can utilise a different warband from the main tournament. Sunday – Epic (500pt) tournament AND 200pt sealed tournament. Evening 200pt Atlantic Cup – this has to utilise your 200pt warband from Saturday. The judges will both join this competition.
Judges: 200pt constructed – Brian Mackey and Peter Scott. Sunday competitions: To be confirmed. Tournament Organiser will be Dave Salisbury of Fanboy3.
Booking Process: To assist in the Registration Process above, please ensure that you have booked properly on www.consupport.com website. This will speed up the registration process and ensure that there are no surprises on the day. Please read the instructions carefully to understand the terminology and booking requirements.
Prizes: Further prizes have been donated to the event from Esdevium Games – including a large amount of promotional minis and monthly retailer kits. These include spell templates and more. Atari/Codemasters Online Gaming will be providing 5 additional copies of the DDO game and leaflets with free time online.
Webcasting: We will be webcasting parts of the tournament. The webcast is sponsored by inSORS Communications at: http://www.insors.com, using their excellent software. Go to http://www.youradnd.co.uk/IRCandWebcast.htm to get further information on IRC schedules and the Webcasting links.
IRC: We will be using the irc.psionics.net (channel #EUDDM) IRC channel to discuss. Players can sit and discuss what is working etc. between games. Download the IRC software from http://www.mirc.com/.
Evening Dinner: The menu will include Lamb, Beef and Gammon. It will also have a fish dish and a vegetarian option. Drinks etc. will be available from the restaurant and bar.
Finances: The event has not broken even, so we will be running a couple of raffles to supplement the income. The prizes will include copies of the Atari DDO game and more. Please be generous in buying raffle tickets. The draw will be held at the end of each day, before any finals.
Coaches: The event has contracted Star coaches to collect from Luton at about 20:30 and from Stanstead at 21:15 on Friday 28th of April. It will, likely, arrive in Birmingham around midnight. A coach will return from the drop off location, on Digbeth, at 09:30 on the 1st of May.

In case you'll be going some matches, kick some butt for Sweden for me okay? [:D]
Good Luck to you all! May the coolest warband win! :P

Judging the 200 pt, hopefully playing in the 200 pt sealed (if we can work out judging arrangements) and in the Atlantic Cup 200 pt constructed. This is where I'll be murdered by the real gamers... such as Janos, Gloom_, Adkainen, Nike, Massimo and the rest... | | One of these days WoTC will update their tournament page when I'm in the top 5... they never seem to do when I'm in that bracket :( My Collection My DDM Website And My Trade Refs Be a part of the UK DDM Forum

Oh, on the topic os playing for Sweden, the famous expression Einstein was supposed to have uttered comes to mind - about whether he was French, Swiss or German... If I lose - choose if I'm a Brit or a Swede [:D] | | One of these days WoTC will update their tournament page when I'm in the top 5... they never seem to do when I'm in that bracket :( My Collection My DDM Website And My Trade Refs Be a part of the UK DDM Forum

| Sounds like a plan Alepulp. I just won over a CE quad-band with a Dual HGB band so I'll just pass on my winning vibes to your swedish part(s=). And just to clarify: Any losing will be caused by your British genes. [}:)]
Have fun folks! I'll bite someone (perhaps YOU there, yeah YOU *pointing around*) in their knee-cap (not having a 3000 mile jaw I'll have to wait an undetermined amount of time before deliver it though-_-) if someone's not taking pictures posting them here or putting up links here from the games. Fyi, I have pretty sharp teeth. [:D]
