| What do you think is the MVP (most valuable piece) for each faction? That is the piece that gives the best bang for its buck? (Assuming 200 point assault format)
Categories are: - Under 30 (Tech/Fodder/Tile Grabber, etc.) - 30-60 (Hitter/Big Tech/Warband Core) - Over 60 (Titan/Utility Piece) {NEW} - Commander
Nominate your favourite for each Faction! I'll update and compile the list as we go..
MVP in the Under 30 points category (Tech/Fodder/Tile Grabber, etc.) - LG - CG - LE - CE
MVP in the 30-60 points category (Hitter/Big Tech/Warband Core) - LG - CG - LE - CE
MVP in the Over 60 points category (Titan/Utility Piece) - LG - CG - LE - CE
MVP in the Commander category (Titan/Utility Piece) - LG - CG - LE - CE

| I agree with buddha except for DMM. I think that's only because of the current meta. I think snig's value will last forever and thus should replace DMM.

| I am going to do this for my main factions.
MVP in the Under 30 points category (Tech/Fodder/Tile Grabber, etc.)
LG - Warforged Scout - It is hard not to include one of these in any LG warband, the advantage of Victory points nowadays is tremendous
LE - Snig the Axe - This was close but for 20 points you get 4 activations and that is hard to beat (the Kobold Miner was close but didn't make it because of wandering monster)
MVP in the 30-60 points category (Hitter/Big Tech/Warband Core)
LG - Couatl - Like the WF Scout, Nearly every LG warband includes one, and as pointed out by DoubtofBuddha, It epitomizes the LG commander right now
LE - Duergar Champion - Almost every mainstay LE band includes not one but multiples of this in-exspensive beater.
MVP in the Over 60 points category (Titan/Utility Piece)
LG - Marut - The best titan in LG. Partnered w/ a couatl, the marut becomes a damage dealing machine that rarely misses.
LE - War Troll - This one was hard. Ever since the Thaskor there really hasn't been to many LE Titans running around. I picked the war troll because of his durability and ability to shoot and smack the opponent (The Orog Warlord might also fit into this category. Same w/ the Beholder if it wasn't for the Helmed Horrors and Maruts in the current meta). | | Champion of Tavern Stripper Knight of Knights Squire of Death Giants Somethin-or-another of Big Arse Swords

MVP in the 30-60 points category (Hitter/Big Tech/Warband Core) - LG Warforged Bodyguard - CG Frenzied Berserker - LE Helmed Horror - CE Red Samurai
MVP in the Over 60 points category (Titan/Utility Piece) - LG LSD (I just dont like the Marut) - CG Archmage - LE War Troll (I think this guy has some untapped potential) - CE Hill Giant Barbarian
MVP in the Commander category - LG Coautl - CG Inspiring Marshall - LE Rakshasa - CE Tiefling Captain

And as cool as doubtofbudda is, I think he may be off on a few selections - but thats just me ;) I'll post my selections later ;) | | It would be very unlikely for unlikely events not to occur. - J. A. Paulos "Innumeracy"

| Just felt that someone should point out that technically the IM is only 29 points...
As far as MVPs go, I have a hard time disagreeing with Doubt... Only other piece I keep thinking of is Nebin for CG in the tech dep. Blur, magic weapon, and acid arrow on an 18 point fig is hard to argue against.
Just my 2cp. | | | |

| I Only Play CG And LE So I Can't Comment On The Others
Under 30 CG Nebin: Blurs And Acid Arrows. LE Snig: Cheap Activation Control
30-60 CG Rikka: Waylay Is An Amazing Ability LE Druergar Champ: Amazing Survivability And Good Damage Potential
60 + CG Aspect Of Kord: Ouch With Brass Sammy LE Beholder: Lots Of Variety, But On the Right Map, You Can Kill Stuff Rolling 1-4. Add In Anti Magic Eye, And You Can Really Restrict Most Bands.

LG - Warforged Scout - It is hard not to include one of these in any LG warband, the advantage of Victory points nowadays is tremendous
LE - Dark Moon Monk - The DMM is the cheapest magic weapon for LE. Even when she is thru buffing she can be used as a tile grabber or my personal favorite role, spells willing using true strike to kill an enemy w/ 5 hp left.
MVP in the 30-60 points category (Hitter/Big Tech/Warband Core)
LG - Justice Archon - The JA gets the nod over the Gith Monk because he doesn't require a specific commander to be effective. Justice Strike, Bold, and Flight contribute to making her one of LG's staple pieces.
Commander MVP
LG - Couatl - Like the WF Scout, Nearly every LG warband includes one, and as pointed out by DoubtofBuddha, It epitomizes the LG commander right now
LE - Snig the Axe - Having the ability to get four activations for 20 points is unbeatable in any faction. (Shuluth, Archvillan gets honorable mention. W/ one of the most powerful commander effects in the game, Shuluth has gigantic potential)

MVP in the Over 60 points category (Titan/Utility Piece) - LG Marut - CG Archmage - LE Iron Golem (LE has sturdy commanders to tie him to) - CE Hill Giant Barb (are there really any other CE titans?)

| I agree with many of the posts, but I shalt dare to be different and on top of that I will only list minis I have [:I]
MVP in the Under 30 points category (Tech/Fodder/Tile Grabber, etc.) LG: Warforged Scout (8 pts. for those skills?! In LG?!!!) CG: Crow Shaman (He will PUMP you up! And CG needs it) LE: Dark Moon Monk (So few MW casters, and so many minis in need) CE: Quaggoth Slave (Wardrummer's great, but I prefer to annihilate my opponents with no escapees; those who run are unworthy anyway [}:)])
MVP in the 30-60 points category (Hitter/Big Tech/Warband Core) LG: Slayer of Domiel (Rarely used, and inconspicuous until she kills your top piece and ends the game) CG: Warforged Barbarian (With proper support he's an unstoppable beast) LE: Duergar Champion (I love the HH, but I use these more) CE: Clay Golem (Good, Evil, just more butt to kick and he kicks a lot; only Requires Instruction)
MVP in the Over 60 points category (Titan/Utility Piece) LG: Sword Archon (Now with Sacred Watchers!) CG: I got nothing, sorry, needs to be Epic. LE: Aspect of Bane (Hardly used, but SCARY and practically Epic) CE: Hill Giant Barbarian (He threatened to hit me with a tree if I didn't put him on here)
MVP in the Commander category (Titan/Utility Piece) LG: Cleric of Dol Arrah (For such a flashy looking piece, people ignore her and she just keeps buffing, blasting, and dismissing...and Command 7!) CG: Champion of Eilistraee (+2 to-hit and AC for swordwielders AND any Drow AND a passable beater with Command 4: OMFG she's a BRICKHOUSE!!!) LE: Shuluth (Didn't think much of him until I saw him kill a fodder piece early in a game for his +4 and then go toe-to-toe with a Balor where he beat it to a pulp) CE: Tiefling Capt. (+4 Commanders in CE are rare enough, but for 21 pts. with that CFX and with HGB about...Yikes)
