| Hey All, I've got a question... how is the "faction" actually decided? If a commander has 2 factions listed on his card and the warbanding ability to bring in people from either faction, can you still declare him of one faction, even if he brings more than 100 points worth of pieces into the other faction? I'm toying with a warband that I would title as LG, even though the commander brings in better than 80 points of CG stuff. Would that be kosher, or is the faction decided by the dominant alignment, pointwise? Thanks, Rob

| First thing you do is choose your faction. Then you choose your pieces.
So, if you choose LG, even if the only thing you have an LG commander, and rest of your band is CG pieces brought in by your commander's warband building, your band is still LG. And a good thing to note is that it counts as LG for purposes of spells such as Chaos Hammer, even if the faction of the individual pieces are CG.

| You decide the faction of your band. Even if every piece you play other than your commander is from one faction and your commander could be in that faction too, you can choose to play the other faction. (So, if you wanted to play Regdar, Rikka, Rask, Guenhyvar, Nebbin, Krusk, Devis, and a few other uniques in LG instead of CG, that would be legal--not a good idea but legal).

| So CG pieces brought into a LG band via warbanding count as LG and are subject to effects like "Chaos Hammer"? I understand that the dual-faction commander would be subject to it, but would the single-faction allies he brings change faction as well? Thanks, Rob | | Champion of Aspect of Pelor

| | everyone in your warband has the same faction, and it is not always the faction printed on their card. a couatl that brings in Rikka makes her LG in that warband. | | Champion of Dracotaur- Vindicated! T32 | |

| No such critter. They say "Any" not "Neutral". As Elder Basalisk said, "first you pick a faction..."
You can pick any faction you want... as long as it's LG, CG, LE or CE.
It is I, LeClaire!
So we have to champion something? Alright, I pick the mighty Flumph!
