| With 2 wardrummers in the same warband it could go either way is why I'm asking.
No I say, because in the rulebook under special ability stacking the last sentence says: "However, duplicate special ability effects don't stack". It's hard to tell if this rule means just the title of the effect (eg. Drumbeat) or the title of the effect plus what is written under it (eg. Drumbeat - plus the effect of it). Which leads me to believe:
I say maybe yes it stacks, because if the second interpretation of the above rule is true, they would have different effects from each other (even if they have the same special ability title). Which would mean they stack with each other.
I couldn't find an official ruling on this anywhere. If someone has actually read it somewhere I'd like to know where it was. Thanks! | | Champion of the Lamia www.tygrhobbes.com

| | No. Nothing stacks unless it says it does (Ex: Mordys Sword on the Archmage) | | Welcome to Eternal Crack... "Corn is no place for a mighty warrior!" Champion of the Frost Salamander | |

| | The rulebook says that effects don't stack on the same creature. But if wardrummer affects once on your band and once on your opponents band, my gut instinct is that that is alright. I really would check with guy though. | | Thousands of Zulu's, behind You!

| | You can use one war drummer to indimidate and another to give resistance, for example, and both effects work. I seriously doubt you can use two war drummers to do resistance to get +8. You could have both do resistance beat so if one goes down, the beat from the other is still working. It is likely better in most circumtances (when you have two wardrummers) to choose two different beats, depending on the situation. | | "Look to God and live." | Different drumbeats can be going at the same time and you would gain the benefit from both of them. But if you use the same drumbeat, you only see the effect of the one. But as Corim Danex said, if one went down, the other one would still be giving the benefit.
You will see dual drummers in epic sometimes because spending 38 pts isnt really a lot in that format. But in 200 pt, most ppl wont want to spend that much for "tech". So I doubt you will see it happen much in 200. | | Champion of a Knight of Takhisis/Knight of Neraka

| | Thanks guys! I was wondering, because I was going to use 2 wardrummers with 3 Death Slaads in the 300pt games we play at the shop. I was going to use one for the saves and one for the intimidate. | | Champion of the Lamia www.tygrhobbes.com | |

You could also choose 1 beat and use the other for countersong. The one with countersong could change to the other beat if it would be a good time during the match. | | The Waterboy. Proud member of Team Amish.
