| What's the warband you won your first tournament with?
My first time I got 1st place in a tournament was a 100 point tournament. My warband was as follows:
Urthok
Salamander
Manticore
This was just after Giants of Legend came out. I got a Champion of Elistrea in my prize booster though [V] | |
Disipline is the only way to overcome chaos.

| Just recently!
Won with Marut/Ballista in a small local tournament, so took it to NJ Qualifiers where I think I was rated 2nd going into the finals (5-1) and then lost to come in 4th. ;) | |

| I think the first tournament I ever won may have been Reverse Constructed, before we made the rule about no summoners.
I don't remember the exact composition, but the 'core' of the warband was grim necromancer, druid of obad hai, and human cleric of Bane. [)] | |

| Looks like Inspired Pyro Frenzy, then Archmage.
Those were tournaments 2 and 3.
First tournament I ever played in I took 3rd out of 9, and lost to Inspired Pyro Frenzy with a CE Beater band, then won out the rest of the games. | |

| Never taken 1st at a constructed tourney. Of course I've only had a handful (7) and 4 of those have been qualifiers/grinders. Came close once in Minnesota but the tie breakers gave it to Newtoncain.
Taken first in several sealed events, alot of small ones at local shops. The first one that I felt really really good about was at gencon last year though. Had a conglomeration of Mina, Feral Minotaur, Direguard, Longstrider, and other assorted stuff and only lost 1 (the only match I expected to win actually) and beat Lord Raven who was undefeated at that point in one of the best games I've ever played. | |

| Well, I got into DMM about 6 months ago, and I played my first couple of games after War Drums.
I had a Sealed Tourney for War Drums and I WON it!!! With:

I don't honestly remember the first tournament I won, though it may have been an uncommons-only tournament in which I brought Urthok, Snig, a couple of Bugbear Footpads, and a pair of Blue Wyrmlings. | |

...I laugh now when I think I almost played an Orc Berserker instead of all 3 Orc Warriors!
It was the first sanctioned DDM tournament ever held. It was also the first tournament of ANY game I ever went to. Needless to say, I got addicted to tournaments very quickly!

Whirlwind death from the Troll killed a lot of figs. Only in one game did he die and luckily I killed off the opposing Ogre War Hulk and my Girallon and Samurai were able to mop up.

I seem to remember someone winning an Angelfire limited tournament at ConQuest in the Bay Area with an Archmage+Steel Predator band. Although I know you did sort of a tag team with a younger player, it was technically a tourney win for yourself. [)]
As for myself, I think I have only ever won one tournament and that was the limited tournament on the last day of GenCon SoCal. I did it with Artemis, a Xorn, Dark Naga, Gold Dwarf, and some filler.
Never won a constructed anything. [:(] Oh wait, I take that back. Won a 4-person 500 pt tournament with Huge Red, dual LRD, Lich Necro, and Cursed Spirits. That was my first tournament win. | |
