| Just a quick follow up poll.
What figure do you think is the WORST from Wardrums. It can be for: - stats - skirmish value - sculpt - RPG value - price value - or for any reason just choose that LAST out of 60 pieces. Whats your LVP (least valueable piece) and why (if you feel like explaining, or not as you wish).
This isnt to bash wardrums ;) just curious if there is a consenses about what piece did the least well out of the set. | | It would be very unlikely for unlikely events not to occur. - J. A. Paulos "Innumeracy"

| As far as rares go (it is really hard to figure out the worst figure period, since many of the commons and the uncommons can be better or worse at times and it is very subjective), I would say the following are near the bottom (for skirmish):
- Snig, Worg Rider - Night Hag
That said, I like both of those pieces as far as minis go, just not in skirmish. Beyond that, it is hard to make a case for any particular figure being THE WORST, skirmish-wise. There are many sub-par pieces, but nothing quite as bad as, say, the Human Cleric of Bane (one of the worst skirmish rares ever, that comes to mind).

I agree that neither really pulls their weight, but I will maintain that I would use the Night Hag in skirmish waayy sooner than I would use Snig, putting him on the bottom in my book. Much of that is due to the fact that he's a rare (and a somewhat-decent RPG piece)... | | *This post was recorded before a live studio audience*

| The Frost Dwarf. This figure has no appeal for me whatsoever, Skirmish or D&D, none, nada, nope. Did I mention I hate this mini?
Gulgar. His stats are OK for Skirmish, but not great, and he's not something I'm likely to ever use in D&D.

| For RPG, the arcane ballista is nigh useless. Skirmish wise Snig blows. He gets my vote. Lion of Talisid - all around sucky. Khumat and Warbound Impaler - Two figs I really like the look of, but really serve no purpose in RPG for me and almost np purpose in skirmish. War Troll RPG - I like my trolls stupid and not weapon savvy. Nice looking fig but I'll never use one in RPG. | | WotC - making me wish more and more every day for a return to the TSR days. :(

| Man, okay, LVP for wardrums, well the RPG and Skirmish aspects are very different, is there one that fits both? ehn, see below. When you say LVP, it connotes "value" which implies a scoring system which implies skirmish - since it's a game with a score. So, I'll list it via Skirmish.
Howling Orc - Have too many, useless in skirmish, not an appealing figure (although the sculpt is good work).
Blood Ghost Berserker for skirmish alone. I love Bugbears, and this sculpt, but this guy costs waaaaaaaaay too much for what he does in his faction - and if supposed to transfer to LE, I haven't found an efficient way to use him yet. He just sucks.
Warforged for rpg alone. Something I will use? Nope. Only as proxies. | | Greyhaze's DDM Spoilers Champion of a Medium Dog & then a Darkenbeast , Raistlin Majere, Nightmare WDQ25/60, Warduke WD60/60, Anti-Champion of Guns, "Knight of Bugbears", and Joke Champion of Venger. | | This is a big topic and for each area of play a different figure or figures could be chosen, however, I really do not like the two figures they made for the introduction scenario. I know some people believe there can never be too many Orcs or Elves, but I disagree and these figures are not really needed for role playing and they are AWFUL in skirmish. No one would or should ever consider playing them outside that one one one introduction to skirmishing.

Not really. How many of each of these figures does anyone need? Unless you're making a DDM Marching band, the most wardrummers you would ever use is two, and that's 500. Sacred Watchers? Lots of other ghosty figures out there. Plus, other undead are more popular. Lion of Talisid and Mephling Pyromancer? Stupid sculpts. Halfling slinger? Again, it's not a good skirmish piece, and RPGers likely only need a couple. | | Champion of Prit(Wemic vindication is here) Minneapolis/St. Paul area Completed trades: Aspect of Cheese (Love that moniker), Tickparasite, Elderthing, Lalato, Sodj, Grimoire, SmilinIrish, Zeb, RWarehall,Link, wikkawikkawa, Auramancer, Rommers, HK, Ivid5,Qillan_dvra, Puggins, Arcabius, Ironfist Boulderbender, Robby, Corim Danex, monster_slayer, DNDJUNKIE, Kelemvor, Krush, ckissee, Massawyrm, hockey fan, Wish, Uninspiring Lieutenant, vtloon x2, Vrecknidj, Darthpoke, WakeXX, AnarionZell, lycusmike, papabear5 and umpteen local trades with board members

And at 11 points there will ALWAYS be a better figure to use in Skirmish for CE (Cursed Spirit, Trog Thug, Quaggoth Slave, Gravehound, hell I'd even pick the Derro over Frosty...).

| Worst by rank...by skirmish stats:-
1)Snig,Worg Rider. Its a letdown since the uncommon version is xxxxx times better. And its not a cheap figure. 2)Orc Mauler.26point Speed 6 CE Orc doing 15 damage with one attack. 3)Orc Wardrummer. He's drumbeat is crap.why would i play him? KIDDING. Howling Orc & Halfling Slinger shares third place. | I go with Snig. There were a lot of ppl who wanted a new Snig.
- People wanted a new Snig. - People wanted an epic Snig. - People wanted a mounted medium goblin worg rider - People wanted a Snig who would be as useful as the original in skirmish - People wanted a Snig who looked like the other one, to show progressin for a Goblin or Snig

Seems to me his only real nitche is to run into fodder piles. 90hp like 13 ac (at work, can't remember for sure). | Snig, Worg Rider
Stats--He has a giant, glowing target on his forehead, and mounted melee attack without reach. Bad mojo. Skirmish Value--Why bother? Archfiends Snig + beater is superior for the points. Sculpt--Medium-sized goblin on a large worg? Enough said. RPG Value--See above. Price Value--Pointless for everything but set completion....not worth the $8 or so that he goes for on ebay Any reason--Snig sans his hat is heresy [V] | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. | As bad as Snig is (and I disagree with Tried, he is certainly worse than the bad Lion of Talisid, which at least offers a casting of flame strike and a couple decent buffs) I think the actual worst figure in War Drums is the Karnathi Zombie.
Let's see, for 11 points I get a whopping 5 damage and speed 4, and on top of it I get to give away all the activation advantage I would otherwise be able to derive from the Mob 2 ability thanks to squad activation.
Bleach! Bad in sealed, too.
There are a number of honorable mention figures too: horde zombie (slow attack, worse AC, and higher cost almost put it worse than the karrnathi zombie but at least it hits for 10, has speed 6, and doesn't eat up your activations), derro (just ugh, but at least you can use it in sealed to fire your ballista), wood elf ranger.
I'd say all 4 of those are worse than Snig, which is really saying something. | | Anson on WotC boards

| As far as bad sculpts are concerned I am suprised nobody mentioned the hobgoblin archer. He looks so stupid holding that stumpy little arrow up for the whole world to see. He has such an intimidating glare and stance, but his weapons are a joke. He might win for MCP... Most Comical Piece, but that is a different thread.
I lean toward the lion of Talisid bashing camp. bleck, his stats suck, and I hate his retro blond mane.
I got into the game to late to appreciate the first snig. Snig 2 isn't that bad when compaired to other dog riders. He has a kinda cartoonish flare that i like. The look is perfect for how ineffectual he is. As far as skirmishing is concerned, it is pretty hilarious what kind of obsticals you can get around just to make a flanking attack with the new Snig. Definately not worth it in a tournament, but he is fun to play.
