| Here is two warbands my friend wants me to put on here. If you can give me some ideas on how to make it better and critique it would do nicely.
Blood Golem of Hextor x2 Dark Naga Bone Naga Shuluuth Beholder Beholder Lich x2 (500 pts)
Beholder Lich x2 Durgar Slaver x2 Hobgoblin Archer Greenspawn Sneak (200 pts)

| As far as the first band goes, having an Epic band with no Epic figures often spells doom. It can be very difficult to dish out and be able to take enough damage against a single Epic minis if you have no epics yourself. That being said, I love a good Beholder, and know the effectiveness of them combined with a Dark Naga. One or two good rolls on your part, and a failed save here and there for your opponent can really change the face of a match.
The second band doesn't seem to fit to me. Why the Duergar Slavers with the Beholder Liches? Why not just a Beholder and a Dark Naga instead? Invisibility doesn't do you much good with a Beholder or Beholder Lich as they are hopefully going to be firing from the back all the time anyway.Â
All that being said, and as a huge fan of the Beholder and one who had much hope to see the Beholder Lich, the BLich really isn't as good as the Beholder is. The choice of rays is not as good, and the fact that they don't have Dual Activation is HUGE. If you know your opponent is bringing a bunch of undead then maybe the Blich would be useful with Turn Undead 20 all the time. But outside of that it's really not as effective as the Beholder.

| What kinds of bands does your friend play against, and what does he hope to achieve?
Both bands feature high-risk, high-variance pieces. So, if he's hoping for the "I get a good roll, then my opponent gets a bad roll" strategy, then, he's playing the right kind of band. If he's hoping to defeat a variety of opponents on a variety of maps, especially if his opponents are designing and practicing with competitive bands, he'll have some problems.

| in regards to the 200 band:
i'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that your buddy really wants to keep those 2 behodler liches in the band.
If that is the case:
beholder lich x 2 direguard x 2 24 points left
or
beholder lich x 2 red hand war sorcerer 38 points left over
