| Well,
now that all of our plastic is going to be usful, will you continue if
I do? Is this still a valuable resource? do you still enjoy the
mental challenge? Do you hate that my threads take up half the first
page sometimes? Do you think these threads a waste of time?
Basically rant or rave here... what do you want me to do?

| If a cost is off for the current skirmish rules it will always be off for that rule set and seeing everything updated to 2.0 doesn't change anything. Discussing what a fair price for a piece to be is still a good exercise.
I do think some of the threads are a waste of time. I'm happy with seeing a price reduced enough to make it useful in serious but casual games. I think asking for a 2 point reduction on a 20 point piece is asking for too much because while it can change what fits in a point range it really doesn't change anything. My criteria for repricing a piece is that the adjusted price needs to be at least 25% less than the printed cost or 10 points less, which ever is less.

| | It's fun mental exercise for those of us who enjoy doing this type of thing. I'll keeping chiming in on each piece if you want to keep it going Lord_rock. Keep the costs in your sig, as my friends and I intend to try them in future casual games. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades. | |

If they beat you to a cost that you agree with, then post your support for that cost. It helps Lord_rock out. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades.

| Yes! Even if you just agree with everything said, say so! Too often I see lots and lots of views and few comments so it's kinda hard to tell if people just don't care, or if I picked a poor figure, or who knows...
unless we get a big influx of people saying "no" or "go away" we'll continue at least till dungeon of dread...
And I do appreciate disagreement! This is one of the few threads where anyone can say that... as long as it is backed with honest thought and discussion. | | Rock Bottom Pricing: Arcane Archer 30, Centaur Hero 67, Human Cleric of Bane 25, Gold Champion 34, Death Knight 52, Goblin Blackblade 9, Silentwolf Goblin 7, Orc Raider 10, Dwarf axefighter 9, Healer 9, Thaskor 65, Aspect of Demogorgon 71, Ogre 9, Fire Giant 79, Human Wanderer 7, Drunken Master 18, Barghest 12, Longstider Barbarian 27, Longtooth Barbarian 22, Frost Giant 76, Ravenous Vampire 42, Large Earth Elemental: priceless

| Another thing I would like to see is more postings overall... the firegiant discussion had over 220 views and less than 20 posts... even if its a "Yep I agree XYpts" or "Nope too much/not enough"...
I know I said I'd prefer in depth discussion (and still do) but chime in once and awhile... I'd like to see at least a 10% view to post ratio! | | Rock Bottom Pricing: Arcane Archer 30, Centaur Hero 67, Human Cleric of Bane 25, Gold Champion 34, Death Knight 52, Goblin Blackblade 9, Silentwolf Goblin 7, Orc Raider 10, Dwarf axefighter 9, Healer 9, Thaskor 65, Aspect of Demogorgon 71, Ogre 9, Fire Giant 79, Human Wanderer 7, Drunken Master 18, Barghest 12, Longstider Barbarian 27, Longtooth Barbarian 22, Frost Giant 76, Ravenous Vampire 42, Large Earth Elemental: priceless

| | nag nag nag, you ask too much! It's only 1% of the members that make 99% of the postings as it is, how can you get 10% view to post ratio from 1% of the community! ;) | | Greyhaze's DDM Spoilers Champion of a Medium Dog & then a Darkenbeast , Raistlin Majere, Nightmare WDQ25/60, Warduke WD60/60, Anti-Champion of Guns, "Knight of Bugbears", and Joke Champion of Venger. | Views vs. posts isn't too important. I'd venture that the more unique posters a thread gets increases the actual view count exponentially. Although Maxminis doesn't show what you've posted too I believe you are much more likely to take a second look at a thread you've posted to after seeing someone else has posted something. Sometimes later posts generate replies but other times they just slide.
With the Fire Giant there really isn't too much to say. It compares extremely well with the FGFP so the general range it should cost is very apparent. Dropping the FG down to 79 is a significant percentage of its original cost but it still costs enough that a few points of variation will cause much problems.

| Not important but probably worthwhile to try to get post numbers up, No?
If I didn't nag no one would... Someone has to be the bad guy... luckily, I've had practice.
I must say that I'm amazed no one has flat out posted that they don't like these threads... I don't know how I've failed to offend no one thus far...
Thanx for the input...

| Rock on, Lord_Rock!
I suggest we take a look at the Longstrider Ranger. A piece which I've always enjoyed, but could never justify using in a warband.
