| Well, if you ran him with snig + minions and deliberately wiped out the minions + maybe a bat familiar it could get a quick 120 HP. Then it would be almost worth its point cost. bone devils were never tough enough to warrant an epic card.

| Unlimted teleport... aura of unlife... I like it.
As said, with snig or similar as collertal damage it could be great fun. Or cobined with Vol's death bursting... and no cap for HP gained. | | "Mutton yesterday, mutton today, and blimey, if it don't look like mutton again tomorrer." | | It sounds like it would be a decent skirmisher type piece with lots of options. Move, hit with reach, then swift teleport away. Full attack, then swift teleport away. Attack with reach, then get away with a combination of moving/teleporting. And my favourite; attack something, swift teleport to within reach of something not immune to poison, then use your second attack. Yeah, I'm likin' it too. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades.

| Sounds interesting... but life and movility is not the problem.... the real pain of this unit is the low attack bonus, low damage output and low poison DC.... that kill this unit....
Osyluth 167 Mind Lich 191 Snig 20 *3x Sniglets 0 Trog Capt 53 Dragon Mark 34 2x Trog Thug 22 Bat Familiar 6 Troglodite 7
Act 12 - 500pts
Trog Captain's Cfx benefit very well both epic units, Mind Lich Imune stench and Osyluth can leave the stench area easy, +2 AC, +7 Attack, +2 DC to paralisis and poison....Osyluth AC 27... and a lot off units to sacrifice.... about 8 or 9 = 240 to 270 HPs
Only if this unit hit a bit hard.... | | Dealing with new life... new country and life without DDM :( Some day I will be back in board

| | Ryoga is right, the attack bonus is low for epic, especially in LE which is supposed to be the faction with the highest attack bonuses. DC 20 is not so bad for the virulent poison though, as the Osyluth is not an expensive epic piece, and LE has a lot of ways to lower enemy saves. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades. | |

| | AC and specials are cool. No LE ac boost ;so thumbs down. Also low hps and what is up with that lousy hit. You would have to run some sort of dual epic to even consider winning and have Osy go for supporters. To hit bonus is seriously bad for epic play . | | Champion of Grape Juice. Its delicious. | |

I tend to agree. But I still at some point might try him out in Epic.Â
On the positive side, his non Epic stats are decent.Â

| Posted By Thenameless on 10/28/2007 12:50 PM You know, the epic Dread Wraith is not bad. I agree. I've played against the Epic Dread Wraith twice in tournaments and it can be a real pain in the back side. Especially if paired with the Epic Mind Flayer, or Beholder Lich, or Strahd.Â

| EPIC Dread and Mind Lich is decent units....but... a bit overcosted!
but LE lacks of real hitter about 150-200pts...
Until that....LE is exclusive 200pts faction

| You're welcome!
I don't play epic, so it's tough for me to gauge it's effectiveness, from what I hear about Bahamut, the Osyluth can't compete. | | Greyhaze's DDM Spoilers Champion of a Medium Dog & then a Darkenbeast , Raistlin Majere, Nightmare WDQ25/60, Warduke WD60/60, Anti-Champion of Guns, "Knight of Bugbears", and Joke Champion of Venger. | I don´t know... i gues that this mini is very good for a minimalist warband that i´ve been thinking along 2 years, based in Moral Saves. Aspect of Bane 106 pts Osyluth 56 pts Shadow Mastiff 17 pts Duergar Slaver 26 pts Beholder 83 Pts
Total= 288 Pts.
Rest=212 Pts. (maybe Fire Giant Forge Priest x 2, Urthok the Vicious and fodders)
I guess that this warband, based in negative modifiers in moral save checks could be a good option in an epic format.
-12 to moral saves and duergar slave CFX can destroy greater minis like Tordek, Rikka, even Bahamut with a fodder with stench (-2 save stacks then -14 save).
And maybe this warband doesn´t needs to hit... just right positions and 13 or more in dice... and Kaboom!!! a living enemy is destroyed.
And Osyluth in epic format canbe very playable... destroying own fodders... and geting +30 HPÂ (i guess ilimited?) nice... awesome!! Â

| My 0.02:
1) low attack, almost pathetic. That's very bad, esp. +14 poison attack. 2) nice teleport. 3) bad you cannot kill your own:) Snig + some small dragon with BW or such means +120HP, which is quite good. Still, 110 initial HP is too low, it can be killed too quickly.
BUT - he's cheap, so you can afford more. This and the Poison ability (as soon as we will know it) may make him playable... | | 2007 & 2008 Czech Republic Champion 2008 Czech Republic's Player of the Year

| | I do not find it so bad but I must to admit it is not a competitive pieceHas nice abilities and cost but its bonuses and damage are ridiculously low for an epic creature.Probably it is a tech piece, you know...you have to use tricks in order to win.The bone devil had its golden age.The problem in epic is always the same: bahamut/tordek warbands. You will be oblitereated against this.Probably the ultrolth is the best commander choice for it | | LOVE THIS GIRL | |

| A build from the david72 on WoTC board looks fun...
Use Demonweb Swarm in stead
2 Epic Osyluth = 334 12 Demonweb Swarm = 120 Snig and minions = 20 Flameskull = 25
499 pts
First turn you have flameskull cast fireball on everything (except Snig). 15 x 30 = 450pts so Each Osyluth would have 560 hitpoints and wouldnt get a moral check until its at 55 hitpoints.
This all assumes that the ability isnt once per turn.

The MW idea is probably better one. It needs the +1 atatck
Though its isn't _that_ awful strike. Has around 30% chance of hitting the higher AC's :|
