| Death Knight x2
Chillborn x3
Farmer x5
10 Acts. 199 pts.
Map:???
The Death knights look pretty good to me with the high attack and High AC, also i love his commander effect giving the other death knight or one of the chillborns +20 dmg after the hit is determined, and the chillborns get +2 attack from them giving them a +15 for 15 + 5 cold or more likely 15 + 10 cold if another chillborn is within 5 spaces, havent tested yet but sounds pretty good, could also substitute a death knight for a skeletal tomb guardian losing two activations though, comments are greatly appreciated. | | Come on 12!... dang another natural 1.

Otherwise, looks solid and the Chillborn are a solid Common. Speed 4 on them is slow, but they hit hard.Â

| | no tomb guard but a vamp vizier diversified your band without sacrificingtoo munch punch and frees up a few points. | Wow! I didn't realise you can use the STG's "Cascade of steel" against different enemies! But it doesn't state "against the same target" or something similar on the card.
I'll set him on a Nightmare, fly into 4 fodder pieces and let him swing! On top of that, the STG will gain conceal and the Nightmare will gain +2 attack since the STG has "Multiple Threads". Add a Vampire Vizier to raise the STG attack bonus by +2 for two rounds, and this looks like fun.
Or what about pairing the STG with Assassins? They will always attack at +16 (25) if their target is adjacent to the STG.
36 points left to fill only, though...
The combination of Vampire Vizier and Death Knight looks pretty good, too! The VV attacks at +19 with the DK around, and two of those attacks will deal 40 damage while the VV has a some good defensive abilities like the potential nix of opponent's champion powers and dominating gaze.
I'll have to get a DK and STG and will have some Undead fun. Has anybody spare ones along with a Young Silver Dragon for any combination of Lamia, Fen Hydra, Hellsword, Griffon, Vrock and Wyvren? ;)

| hadn't thought about nightmare + tombgaurd but might make something
more fun... +2 to the nightmare is nice and conceal 6 is needed for the
tombgaurd... he's just fragile! but potentially potent. Drow
blademaster anyone???

Of course, you can't start him mounted since he's a wandering monster... | | A Proud Gelatinous Dude

Even though the Nightmare is quick enough and can pass through walls to make it a nice combo...
And it always has a chance to set up in your opp's area. | | 2007 & 2008 Czech Republic Champion 2008 Czech Republic's Player of the Year

| | Mounting can occur before set up unless they changed that rule... There's a fun rules question...Still not a brilliant combo but makes the already solid nightmare better and might be just what this piece needs to survive a touch longer. | | Rock Bottom Pricing: Arcane Archer 30, Centaur Hero 67, Human Cleric of Bane 25, Gold Champion 34, Death Knight 52, Goblin Blackblade 9, Silentwolf Goblin 7, Orc Raider 10, Dwarf axefighter 9, Healer 9, Thaskor 65, Aspect of Demogorgon 71, Ogre 9, Fire Giant 79, Human Wanderer 7, Drunken Master 18, Barghest 12, Longstider Barbarian 27, Longtooth Barbarian 22, Frost Giant 76, Ravenous Vampire 42, Large Earth Elemental: priceless | |

| A question regarding the DKs Unholy Flames attack: Do I need to decide if I want to deal FIRE or NECROTIC damage BEFORE the initial die role?
Or can I attack each enemy in the effected area and than decide what to do (i.e. some creatures will get 20 necrotic and others 20 fire)? | | Champion of Regis

| That's a nice build, D.
*Michael: I'd say you may choose, but I'm not sure. I guess that because with Area attacks, you choose all the targets and then roll against them one after the other. Then in D1, you choose the apropriate damage. I may be wrong. | | 2007 & 2008 Czech Republic Champion 2008 Czech Republic's Player of the Year

| | personally I was always a fan of death knight x3 and a human commoner... its an eggs in one basket gamble but if you can get into melee fast enough after using 3 unholly flame i think you could make a good go of it especially swinging for 40/turn and using the second champ power to trap pieces in bad positions as well as to screw up hp math. | | | |

I want to!
as an aside, wandering monsters can't set up mounted according to the latest errata...(I'm responding to the discussing about Skeletal Doomguard and a Nightmare here, not about Lady Vol riding a Deathknight into battle) | | Proud member of the Bearded Devils

not about Lady Vol riding a Deathknight into battle That's a nasty mental picture!
Reminds me of the zombie priest and zombie woman having sex and getting a zombie baby in the Brain Dead (Dead Alive) movie by Peter Jackson.

Its a solid combination.Â

| Posted By Pedro on 04/21/2008 9:39 AM What about pairing the Warrior Wight with Death Knight? IÂ tried that (see post above). solid combo, but you have to have map advantage. use a small (non-starter) map with a short run to central victory area. speed 5 sucks! Needs a bit of ranged support, and could do with a def-boost.
Dk+Eb+Wight(s) is a solid core, but you have to add a wild mage and some kobold archers for melee/ranged balance.
