| I wanted to make a dwarf warband with the Dwarf battle master from the starter set. I wanted the warband to be built upon the champion ability of the battle master. ( +10 on any allies attack that has hit the target)
heres what i came up with
Dwarf Battle master x2
Dwarf Shield Maiden
Dwarf Maul Fighter
Champion of Dol Dorn
Deep Legionnaire
what do you think?
I was going to include a couple of delver sergeants so they can copy the battle masters champion power but by the time i had 2 battle masters and 2 delver sergeant i only had room for 2 beaters.

| On any given day, I'd usually take another CoDD vs a Shield Maiden
And once that's happened... I'd probably take another CoDD vs the Maul Fighter
But that gets kind of boring...
So, as is, I'd say you've got some reasonable damage potential with above average ACs... your main problem will probably will be the slow speeds against an army with casters in it.

| At qual I faced
Battle MAster x 3
1/2ling paladin x 2
Emerald orb wizard
militia archer
It did OK, but is slow and the one ranged threat is limited (though nasty)
So I woudl drop the 2 paladins and put in another some other ranged threat
Or some other tech.

| | The best choice in this moment with dwarvens is EB + Dual ChampDolDorn (pig riders optional).I have seen this warband making in the top 4 in two tournaments,trampling even Dual MFL and another EB warbands.The warlod is a good piece too.I do not find the battlemaster making the cut in the current meta.Also,the thunderdusk boars work really well with hierophant . | |

Argh. You're right. And I have x3 Merc Guards costing only 16 and should be 24.Â
So I loose the Dwarf Battlemaster and I would replace it with a Wild Mage for that ranged threat.Â

| battlemaster is nice but his champ power is only melee! And few civ pieces are awesome right now. If he wasn't good there would be more options. His ability to negate a crit is huge too.
warlord is lovely but just a touch too expensive since he was created in the pit kills era. | |
