| I have several supplements that I haven't been able to really read yet. From what I have scanned over so far, it looks quite detailed.
The thing they do that I like is something WoTC will never do and that is release books that detail and flesh out humanoid races and culture.
Plus, the Kalamar DM screen is amazing. | | WotC - making me wish more and more every day for a return to the TSR days. :(

| I don't know anything about K0K, but as I understand it, it is fairly similar to Greyhawk, that to me is a GOOD thing, since at least the setting is fully supported.

Yea? How Kalamar specific is it? Is it more of a generic D20 screen? The original (3.0) screen really sucked, and I've been afriad to by any of the others for fear of getting a bunch of setting specific "stuff"

Should have bought the issue of Dragon Magazine where they had a 'free' updated 3.5 screen I thought it a very nice screen.
I have to say I have been interested in KOK but have been reluctant to try it out. Though I must say Knights of the Dinner Table is awesome! | | "I was sittin' here eatin' my muffin, drinkin' my coffee, replayin' the incident in my head, when I had what alcoholics refer to as a moment of clarity." - Jules Winnfield Sales/Trades Bad (1): Ironfist Boulderbender Trades/Sales completed (8.): Danthl, Dafrca, Garyaxe, qillan_dvra, realmaster, Vandal_Savage, cavedweller, unearthed arcana. | Shouldn't we be asking Kithmaker about KoK? Wait... that's not what you're talking about.
I have just about everything that Kenzer has released for KoK. I was running two KoK campaigns, but one was put on hold so I could run WLD. I think the KoK material is excellent. Most people would refer to Kalamar as a low magic world. I wouldn't, it's along the lines of GH in 'magicness'. Their support products are top notch, some of the editing notwithstanding. They have glossaries and indices in their modules. Although again, the page #'s aren't always correct, but it puts you within a page or two when they're not accurate. I just finished running the Coin trilogy. My players enjoyed playing it, just as I enjoyed running it. There is a lot travel and little in the way of dungeons in that series. Salt and Seadogs and KoK Atlas are among the best roleplaying products I have ever seen. Obviously I would highly recomend the setting, or any of it's support products. Their message boards are very active and extremely helpful, much like this board. As a final note the Kenzer big-wigs post regularly and I get the feeling that they genuinely like interacting with their fan base. Good stuff. | | In the constellation of Cygnus, there lurks a mysterious, invisible force:

| | There is a fair amount of KoK out here in Illinois... The people who play love it to death. I've always avoided the RPGA version "Living Kingdoms of Kalamar" due to the slow progression of PC's. I have heard that it gives the campaign a more epic feel because you are at one level for so long... *shrug* People seem to like it. | | "It's an automatic robot, based on science." | |

Well, Kith is the KoK master. Hmmm, that doesn't sound too good, does it? [:0]

There is quite a bit of Kalamar specific stuff on it but it's far more detailed than the WoTC screen. It also has one of the coolest features I've ever seen. A random inn/tavern name generator. | | WotC - making me wish more and more every day for a return to the TSR days. :(
