| don't have 2nd edition so I don't know what beast you are referring to describe it more and i'll try to find it in the oriental adventures monster section.
as to teleport a shaman with the travel domain can teleport at 14th(7th level domain spell) level. a shugenja at 12th level can windwalk and teleport(6th level spell) and at 16th can teleport w/o error both being on the spell list they could cast them off scrolls or devices at lower levels. Wujen can cast teleport at 10th level(5th level).
I've always like some of the names of the spells: dance of the unicorns, ancestral vengence, kiss of the toad, master of the rolling river etc...
cool names? how about Inijusu master, henshin mystic, eunuch warlock(got to be really dedicated for that one),chiang lung(river dragon),t'ien lung(celestial dragon),pennaggolan(a type of vampire),yuki-on-na (beautiful spirits of the frozen wastes), bloodspeakers( an evil cult dedicated to the overthrow of the emperor)

| Count Dooku is right except for the hooves it looks like a foo lion. but since foo creatures are a kind of template in the old monster manual 2(2nd edition) it could be some sort of foo horse or other creature. It kind of looks like Li lung an earth dragon(medium sized one of course) from 3rd edition oriental adventures if you remove the li lungs wings. | | | |

| There are only Foo Lions and Foo Dogs. Those weird chinese statues that could be either a lion or a pug/pekanese are foo creatures.
In 3rd edition OA it says just put the celestial template on a dire lion but describe it as looking very oriental.
I cant explain the hooves. | | Champion of the Skulk Vindicated Champion of the Twig Blight

| Dragon Horse, from the old 1E Monster Manual II, maybe?
I don't think there's quite an exact fit for it in the rules. | | Anson on WotC boards

I thought it was a kind of template, they didn't have templates in 2nd edition but it looked to me like they were giving examples with the dog and lion.
The book only lists lions and dogs but I had the impression (maybe only in my own head) that it refered to other type of creatures as well. That being said the lion is the best and closest fit.

| Well, I can explain the hooves and will tell you that as far as I can recall that is a Dragonhorse, found on page 59 of the Monster Manual 2 (TSR2016) [:D]

| [:I]DOH![:I] Dragon horse,I literally thumbed right past that picture on my way to the foo creatures. I am totally spoiled by the color pics in the new monster manuals and tend to gloss over the b&w in the older ones. | | | |

Exactly, the description of the dragonhorse specificaly says not to confuse it with a kirin [:D] as it lacks the horns [)]
