| Nightwalkers. They can be picked up Extreamely cheap and painted pretty easy as well. Or you could leave them black and just use a as proxy units. I am not a great painter, but my huge fire elemental didn't turn out too bad, although not as good as the Chrall or air elemental conversions to fire elementals. (my players just love the fire plane, so I needed extra staples).

| It is going to sound hoaky but... a glass of water for a water elemental and I have a couple of rocks that are the right size for earth elementals. The glass has the right base size and the rocks are the right size. If you want to look alot better, you could just crudely mold some grey clay into a vaguely humanoid shape. As far as a fire elemental... you are on your own, I haven't had to do one yet.

If you went out and bought the human torch, buy the thing...BOOM! You've got a huge earth! | | There were some toys made in the 80's and early 90's called "inhumanoids" that you could get on Ebay. They were rock, lava, fire and tree people if I remember correctly. | | Looking for someone to cosponser a midwest DDM event. let me know if your interested! | Does anyone remember those D&D toys from the 80's?
Not the action figures. They were vynal figures just like our beloved minis..excet they were like around 6" tall....so large monsters were about 8 or 9 inces tall.
One of them was a Fire Elemental that came with a Crystal Ball on an ornate stand as an accessory.

God I'm old, yes I remember them I still have the fire elemental somewhere , I hope I haven't seen it in years. If I remember correctly it looked kind of like the large fire elemental from Harbinger except made of rubber.

| Count Dooku,
I've got a rubbery Carrion Crawler (10"+ long) that I've been asking for years, "Where the heck did you come from?" Offhand, do you know what other figures came with this line?
Unrelatedly, I have a small, old-school Bulette (pokey spike projecting upwards from the rear of the carapace at a 45 degree angle) made of hard yellow plastic. Any idea where he might have come from?
zoroaster100, check out Mage Knight's Spirit Eidolon Solonavi Celestial--this thing IS Imix.
Cheers,

Heres the list of old figures I found http://www.toyarchive.com/Dungeons&Dragons/PVCBendy/PVCBendy.html You can click on the pics for larger versions.
If you check out the Fire Elemental, the Crystal ball is about as tall as a Harbinger Large Fire Elemental to give an example of scale.
I always thought the bendy ones were terrible looking. The Grell has eyes :)

Earth=The Thing Fire=The Human Torch Air=The Invisible Woman (if she's actually invisible) Water=Iceman(?) Sub-Mariner(?) The Beast (At least he's actually blue)
If you use a glass of water as an elemental, better use a coaster (or have VERY room temperature water) or you'll leave sweat-rings on your maps. | | Champion of the Werewolf Lord, Knight of Anything Duergar, and Squire of Things Gnollish List reset with the start of previews for each new set...got Chainmail®?

The thing does work great. He is a large huge bordering on the next size catagory, but still a huge.If you want to get real serious paint his pants. | | Yes I am Gelatinous.

| | After reading everyone's replies I bought the old Fire Elemental (sans crystal ball) on Ebay to use as another huge (or garganuan?) fire elemental, so thanks for that suggestion. I did buy a very large Human Torch to use as Imix as well. He looks about the right scale based on the art in Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil. I also found the inhumanoids on Ebay, and I'm considering getting one that looks somewhat like an earth (or stone) elemental, but I'm not quite convinced he'll look nice enough next to D&D minis. I'll continue to keep an eye out at toy stores and on Ebay for suitable substitutes. I always try to do that now, and not just for elementals. | | | |

| It doesnt give you the size propotion you might want but we have a huge base (foam board) and use the Large figure. Cheap and easy but it does lack a little something.

Actually, you could build on that foam board, and build a 'base' to surround the Large Fig base -- With a little paint, and thematic add-ins (a pool of 'water', a cloud, a bed of coals, or stone), the fig would not look so out of place. | | Champion of the Flumph!!!
