You should go with what I'm going with:

The Ghost Faced Killer

It's in the complete Adventurer. You, later in the class, become invisible for a round and can walk through walls and with power attack you can do MASSIVE dmg and with ghost step, I'm not sure about this, you don't need to have crossclassed with a rouge to get sneak attack.

Disipline is the only way to overcome chaos.

No help for your current character, but if you want massive damage next time around, ignore prestige classes and stay straight fighter. Take Improved Critical, Power Attack, Weapon Focus, and Weapon Specialization feats. Plus the three or four other feats by 8th level. Using a great sword, you'll be doling out crit threats once every 5 swings. Assuming you are swinging a +2 great sword with a 22 strength by that point, that's 20 damage average. With a plus 18/13 attack bonus you can certainly throw four into power attack against those lower AC giants and dire bears, etc. With a two handed weapon, that gets you six extra damage. Now you are AVERAGING over 50 points of damage per crit. That's a crit every three turns on average. Nasty. Sacrifice a little of that damage and use a falchion and you've increased your threat range to the point that you're getting a 50 average point crit every other round.

Heck, go the grim reaper route and pour everything behind that scythe and just wait for those 120 point average crits.

Featherfall??! Who needs featherfaaaalll. .

Hmmm....oriental adventures bear warrior might fit. It's kind of like a totem warrior kind of thing. It gives you the ability to turn into various types of bear...meh...maybe not...

This may sound silly, but depending on what your alignment is (ie if it is CG). Then I suggest you go for Holy Liberator.

My reasoning is simple:
1) You are a power attacking hit point munching brute
2) You are reliably going to be hitting and hurting anything you hit
3) Your will save will be low due to classes
4) An enemy spellcaster or vamp means you turn on party
5) You turning on your party means much pain to them
6) Your higher than average speed mean only the monk gets away
7) 3rd Level Holy Liberators are immune to charm and compulsion
8) I learned this the hard way when one of my characters in a vampire heavy campaign was dubbed "The Walking TPK"

PS. Look at Combat Brute, Shock Trooper and Leap Attack from Complete Warrior for other feats.

As far as reasonably easy Pclasses to get into (since i don't know your feats other than power attack)

Pious Templar is a good choice for its first 4 levels.
Over the 4 levels you get weapon spec in your deities weapon (good since you have no fighter levels). You get a good will save. You get DR1/-, a fighter bonus feat, spells, and a smite attack 1/day.
Assuming you use the greatsword, Kord is an excellent choice for patron deity.

Exotic weapon master is another good choice for one level due to the ability uncanny blow, which lets you do str x2 instead of str x 1.5 when wielding a one handed exotic weapon in two hands (i.e. bastard sword Dwarven war axe). Assuming your strength is 24 when you rage you'd be hitting for 1d10 + 14 (assuming only str bonus to damage, no enhancement bonus, power attack, etc). But it does require EWP in the weapon as well as weapon focus.

Occult Slayer gives you great defense against spellcasters due to the spell turning, good will save, and save bonus vs. spells. Also the extra d6 damage vs. foes who use spells or spell like abilities is quite useful.

Hope this helps.

Sanity is a one trick pony, my friend, . . .but when you're good and crazy the sky is the limit.

I love Craw's idea of a kickass fighter. I have never played a high melee damage character. Right now my L15 cleric swings for 1d8+5 damage with his +2 morningstar. three times in a full attack at 16/11/6. Pretty ordinary I know. Our party has two fighters who dish it out, trouble is, our DM loads their opponents with high HP and massive attack and damage so that they can pose a threat.
I guess what I'm saying is, what goes around comes around.
When it happens, I'm glad my limp-wristed cleric is not in the front lines. Lately we've been chewing through a lot of diamonds bringing them back from the dead.

I have always been here.

I have a guy in one of my campaigns now who is quite a successful Fighter/Thief. Nothing special, but utilizing the movement options of the theif and applying them to two short swords with specialization has been damn effective. Needless to say, I have had to rework senarios to compensate for the damage he has been doing to my villians.

I would shy away from prestige classes in general. Outside of a select few, i.e. the Incantatrix, Red Wizard, and a few others, there aren't many good ones out there. Let us not talk about the deficit of prestige classes that truly compliment a fighter's skills. With that said, if you want to experiment with a few select fighter feats by coupling them with an additional class, I advise going thief.

If you want 3rd party ideas you can try legend & lairs path of the sword. It has some interesting prestige classes but you may have to do some converting to your campaign if your DM allows them.

Some of the classes that may meet your need are:

Dragon warrior- it gives you a whole bunch of rage abilities, slashing rage(when you rage you shift to your dragon form and gain claw and bite attacks),Armor rage(when raging gain damage reduction 2/-),burning rage(gain your dragon form breath weapon),winged rage(grow wings and can attack with them).

Pit fighter- over the levels you gain battle senses(cannot be flatfooted, cannot be flanked, if being attack by two or more foes gain a partial action),weopon sense(can use any weapon not proficent with at -2 rather than -4),skewer( if you hit you can attempt a skewer, driving your weapon into your opponents body, if sucessful every round after you 'twist the weapon' doing automatic damage as if you hit),savage strike (a crippling blow meant to disable you can deal 2d4 temp ability damage to strengh, dex or con in addition to normal damage),steal the kill(you can make an AOO against someone hit by another source in the same round).

these are just highlights and not as detailed as in the book but they give you and idea of the classes

Reavers, tribal protectors, and legendary classes are a few others that might fit. There are a bunch others but they require monk or paladin levels.

well im just going to stick with barbarian for now, maybe branch into thief for some tumble to get past that reach issue ( our campaign seems to have many many reach monsters). my feats are nothing exciting
power attack cleave great cleave and iron will. with my greta axe i am dishing out 20-40 points of damage per hit anyway.

Barbarian/rogue is a great core class combination that is often overlooked...see also Barbarian/ranger, favored enemy human....
