we are both a little right and wrong. Just reread the eberron handbook it says a warforged with 0 hitpoints is disabled, just like living creatures. He can take a single move action or standard action in each round. But it goes on to say that when his hps are less than 0 but greater than -10 he is inert, unconscious and helpless and cannot perform any actions.
But the point is kind of moot because warforged cannot heal naturally so a heal check(using the heal skill) won't work on him. Your DM might allow the warforged to use the heal skill as a minor repair ability.

| A warforged... in Rokugan... I bet he hears a lot of Gaijin, and Oni [:)].
I do wonder if the taint would still affect the living part of a warforge since it still has no soul. | | "...don’t try to outweird me, I get stranger things than you free with my breakfast cereal." - Zaphod Beeblebrox Champion of the Nymph!

| | He wouldn't be able to use the Heal skill, but a warforged can use the Craft (armorsmithing, blacksmithing, gemcutting, or sculpting) to repair itself or someone else with one of those skills could use it on him. Also, there is a repair kit that gives a +2 bonus when using those skills to repair a warforged. | | Complete: Ha, De, Ar, GoL, Ab, Dk, Af, Ud, WD, DQ, BW Favorite Supplier "Indecision may, or may not be my problem." - Jimmy Buffet Champion of the Gibberling | |

| A repair attempt takes 8 hours, no use in combat. And I will allow him to be tainted as
a normal character, but his God already gave him some jade.
My question remains, can a player use heal On himself ? | | Please donate BLOOD at http://www.monstersgame.co.uk/ac=vid&vid=11018554 Champion Of Kaz the Minotaur Knight of ALL Draconians. | I don't think so. The Player's Handbook says the following in describing the Heal skill on page 75:
"HEAL (WIS) Use this skill to keep a badly wounded friend from dying, to help others recover faster from wounds, to keep your friend from succumbing to a wyvern’s sting, or to treat disease."
Notice that it doesn't say anywhere that you can use the skill on yourself. It would have to specify that you can in order for it to work on yourself. Each time it mentions who the healing can be done on, it refers to another character besides the one performing the Heal check.
It really is hard to read your comments the way that you capitalize every word. This seems like more work than simply typing. Is there some reason you do it? | | "Look to God and live." Alma 37:47 Vindicated Champ of Hippogriff (Arcadian Hippogriff) and Uncommon Horse

I second that about your posts being hard to read. I agree with the interpritation that heal cannot be used on oneself- I personally find that closing off my own bleeding arteries is rather difficult, what with the pain and all... | | Call me: W.N. | I read that as well. I must be playing the devil's advocate ( while still searching for
the truth )but the fact that it is not written that a player cannot be taken simply as a
no.
WoTc would clearly state one cannot heal himself. I see no such affirmation. I tend to
agree with your viewpoint, but either way, the manual is still unclear. Let me take an
example: the Terminator heals himself not only with metal, but also bandages, right ? Why
could a human with no one in sight not be able to ?
And just to clarify, I did not allow the player to use it on himself, Warforged or not, I
asked him to check in the Eberron handbook, while I search on the web. | | Please donate BLOOD at http://www.monstersgame.co.uk/ac=vid&vid=11018554 Champion Of Kaz the Minotaur Knight of ALL Draconians.
