| Since I do not see any topics for anything other than DnD, I was just wondering if anybody played anything else. I have been playing Star Wars. d20 Modern is also a blast. Oh, we are playing the Tempest Feud campaign. It is a fun campaign on its own and is easily incorporated to a game. | | Evil triumphs when good men fail their morale saves. | |

| | My regular gaming group plays a variety of board games (Catan, Sequence, Go, Parcheesi, etc) and occasionally one of my friends DMs a Star Wars campaign. D&D is the staple game, however. | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. Where's my pie? | | I'm running a d20 Apocalypse game (a campaign setting for d20 modern), and it is hella fun. If you like a more gritty realistic game it is defintely for you. Also if you prefer a game where the characters and their abilities are more important than their stuff, then this would also be for you. | | Sanity is a one trick pony, my friend, . . .but when you're good and crazy the sky is the limit.

I tried a d20 modern game. After we spent 20 minutes arguing over whether someone who didn't have French as a language could order off a French menu, I gave up and went back to D&D. | | Champion of the Beholder and Beholderkin

hahahahahahahaha! I forgot about that.

| | We've talked about doing Shadowrun, Mechwarrior and a couple super hero games lately.... but eveything eventualy leads back to there being more interest in D&D so it's what we end up doing. | | | |

| When I was a more active gamer, I played a lot of white wolf games. Exalted. Vampire. Steam Punk too. Just DnD always seemed to be more enjoyable.

| | I used to play in the old White Wolf Gothic/Punk world. It was fun but not the quality of gameplay that I enjoy in DnD. I have looked into playing the RPG form of Munchkin for fun. | | Champion of the Tohr-Kreen. WotDQ Called Shot: Fang Dragon. | |

| | Good to know. I have been halfway looking into Vampire and Werewolf but have not taken the plunge. I have only played d20 since WEG went under. Star Wars rpg is not as threatening as the other games, but with the lack of new printed material, I have been looking at other choices. | | Evil triumphs when good men fail their morale saves. | |

| | Lately I've been playing in a couple of Exalted games. My standard fare tends to be Gurps, Call of Cthulhu or All Flesh must be Eaten. I don't play too much D&D nowadays. | | Pathetic Earthlings. | | My group started off with a Star Wars campaign. Since then, we've been doing D&D. Our group has grown to more than 15 people since, and we have broken off into multiple groups, one of which is another Star wars group. I DM the D&D one, though. | | For every animal you don't eat, I'm going to eat three. | |

| I always assumed Oriental Adventures was basically part of D&D [:D]
I almost forgot our annual summer game of Cyberpunk 2020 (or Shadowrun...depends on who ends up DMing). Steampunk games are also a blast.
Card games that are nice breaks from pure RPG are Munchkin, It Came to Pass, The Totally Insane Card Game, and Three Dragon Ante (remarkably simple and remarkably fun).

| I only have one kinda of D&D going which is more an expereiment with skirmish rules mixed with with a little as possible D20 stuff. I do a regular fantasy based realm based on Rifts/Palladium rules. I iregulary run a star wars campiegn.
Just a few months ago finnished a very epic/open planescape game, and a shadow run theme game (based again on Rifts/Palladium rules).
Mostly I think and create in themes over rulesets. Then pick the game to suit what I want.
I`m really interested in the skirmish based one (like EC on steriods) as it is almost full circle to my first games. And it shows potential to speed up the comba situations a heck of a lot, and some fondess because it just grew from a few causal plays (hhppph - one offs) but started the addiction for a few newbies. | | "Mutton yesterday, mutton today, and blimey, if it don't look like mutton again tomorrer." | | I've picked it up and am still in the process of digesting it. A few of my friends have started up a couple campains. It largely appears to be a improvement over the original. | I've been running two Castles & Crusades games for the last year or so. D&D 3.5 just seems too rules heavy for me; C&C has the right balance of SRD mechanics with the feel of 1E and 2E D&D.

Kind of. The pedigree is obvious, but they aren't the same system. Savage Worlds is more intuitive, and more stripped back, but still functions smoothly.
And its also worth pointing out that Deadlands Reloaded is hopefully out this year for Savage Worlds. | | Support awesome games: Play Hecatomb!
