Will do if I make the meeting. I'm working for Ian, and he doesn't want to say I can go until he confirms there are no no-shows for our staff. There are 4 of us in the Triangle since you moved here, but one is kind of out on his own. He only replied to one of my e-mails. Yeah, Yeah. I can volunteer my place. I have space to entertain about 20ish, let's keep it smaller than that for my wife's sake though eh?
If we hold it in a couple of weeks, you can all get a sneak peak at an Underdark mini. And the model it's based on, I might add. So, once again: Party at my place. Date: TBD.
Dave: Grats on the baby, and where'd you move to?
Oh, and I'm finally back from hiatus, still have a ton of work to do on the house, and studying for boards is killing me, but at least I can catch up on the boards in the meantime. | | POST DISCLAIMER: Above post may contain humor. Welcome back to the good doctor!
My wife and daughter and I are staying at my in-laws' house which is pretty close to you... We're in the Lochmere area off of Kildaire Farm Road. Once we sell our house in IL we'll probably buy a place between here and RTP where I'm working. (First day was today and it went great...)
So, as for a date for the cookout... I'm out of commission until September 1st, but that weekend may be out as well. How about September 10th? | | "It's an automatic robot, based on science."

| By the way... if you guys want to do September 3rd, I'll try to convince the wife.
And... that begs the question... Are wives invited? If so, cool.
If not, shouldn't we be gaming? [:p] | | "It's an automatic robot, based on science."

Dave,
You're right down the road from me right now then. We should get meet up sometime after I get back from Gencon, I'll bring presents hopefully, lol. Glad to hear that the job is going well. I live on the other side of 1/64 from Lochmere, toward Kildaire Farm Rd, between 1/64 and Kildaire Farm Rd. | Back to the cookout idea... September 3rd could work for me, but I still have a few questions:
1) Are wives invited? (If not, I'm probably out since I'll be out of town the week before this.) 2) Are 6-week-old little girls invited? (No, Mackey... you can't shrink her head. I probably need mine shrunken quite a bit, though.) 3) What time? 4) What address? 5) What would you like for me to bring? (Nope, can't afford Utopias... What else???) | | "It's an automatic robot, based on science."

Mmmph. Forgot to check with the wife about that one--been in super crack-head study mode. Anyhow, lemme ask her and I'll post back. I'll call Groves too and see if he can make it then. | | POST DISCLAIMER: Above post may contain humor. Now with micro scrubbing bubbles. Do not operate heavy machinery. Take with food. I'm back!! Gencon was the bomb. It was a lot of fun working with Wizards. I'll be there tonight, I may pimp my red gencon shirt. I have an AAM starter for you Dave. I was planning on bringing some of the AAM miniatures tonight. I also have a promo los thing for some of y'all. I'll also bring by the championship map so everyone can see it as well as the promos. I am also planning on giving an Elminster to Vivian for an additional first place prize at her tournament on Sat.

| Alright, checked with the boss, check the calendar.
We're on for a Sept. 3rd party at my place, circa late afternoon. Chris Groves must show up. I could use the break from studying anyway.
Wives are invited. In fact, wives must come, or my wife will be very lonely!
As for kids, well we're contemplating that one. The compounding issue is that we don't have kids of our own yet. So not only is our house not overly-child friendly (or proof--okay, it's openly dangerous, as I keep liquor and rusty nails in open containers on the floor[)]), but we've nothing for them to do. The only "toys" I've got here are D&D minis :P Infants are fine, of course, since you know, they pretty much entertain themselves and all.
So, not much for kids to do here. Sad that a kiddie-shrink and a teacher have got it like that, but we're actively working to fix that situation [:D] .
Anyhow, my thoughts now are that if folks can find babysitters (or maybe one cooperative babysitter), then we'll go sans kids. If babysitters are a problem that weekend, then screw it, bring the kids, they can go play in traffic...err, I'll psychoanalyze them all for free, and then you get a free gift when you come, and free party entertainment.
We'll provide a sweet party-location, some lawn and ice-breaker games (I volunteer the Mackeys for the newlywed game, even though every time I play it's like watching a train wreck), margaritas, martinis, and daquiris (and other liquor), and some basic foodstuffs. Maybe folks that are coming could bring a smallish dish of something, and beer if they want it.
If you're thinking about coming, drop me an email: bpmackey(AT)gmail.com
So we can move the planning off the boards and to a more personal format.
Hopefully we'll see a bunch of you guys there, and drop me a line if you're planning on coming. | | POST DISCLAIMER: Above post may contain humor. Now with micro scrubbing bubbles. I'm around this weekend, I don't know if you'll be around or not. I don't have any plans on Saturday during the day, but I need to get two store visits in. I also heard about some of the delegate changes that may be coming that I'll tell you about, I think Mike is sending a mail on it too. Shoot me an e-mail and we can try to figure something out.

| Well, Saturday morning is good for me... We could meet for coffee at Caribou or at Barnes & Noble? Or we could meet at AF&G when they open if it is like 9:00 or 10:00... I don't know what time they open.

| It's at All Fun and Games, like a mile from Lochmere (if that's where you are still staying). It starts at 4 pm, 200 point Constructed Assault format. Will donated an Elminster Promo for the tourney as well so we're expecting a decent turn out.

| Yeah, mine was Sat. of labor day weekend. It was kind of last minute. My weekend schedule this month and next month are hellish so I did it last Sat. October won't be as football heavy, but I am gone 3 weekends.
The AAM event on the 18th is going to be sealed $40 entry, preregister with the store. It starts at 2pm. Then I'm doing an unofficial demo at AFnG this Monday for it, starts at 6pm and goes until 9pm. I'll be using the scenario from Scrye 88 for it.
The DDM tournament on the 24th starts at 5pm at AFnG. | | William Triangle, NC AAM Group: http://groups.yahoo.com/groups/triaaminis/ Triangle, NC DDM Group: http://groups.yahoo.com/groups/triddmminis/ Triangle, NC SWN Group: http://groups.yahoo.com/groups/triswminis/

| Okay, guys... I need a little help... I didn't bring all of my minis with me (still trying to sell our house) but I did bring my bag of minis for trade...
So anyway, I traded an Ogre Zombie, and I have the fig, but the card is in Illinois. [:I]
