| In the realm of other business we have how we're going to divy up that sweet sweet loot.
This is how we were going when we were first getting this campaign off the ground and I think it should serve us well.
Magical items and other similar treasures such as masterwork equipent and the like automatically go to the player who can use them best. Hopefully that will even out over time to be a relatively fair distribution of swag. If said player upgrades to a new item and no longer has need of it said item either passes to another character or goes into the pool of items to be sold or traded.
The items that are to be sold is pretty much anything not easily divisable among the group as well as what ever magic items etc we can't use.
Once we sell the useless items and get down to the coins and the like the treasure will be divided 8 ways. Each PC gets 1/8th of the treasure, the remaining 1/4 goes into the party discretionary fund to pay for the various expenses we'll occur as a group as well as serve as an emergancy fund.
Let me know if this doesn't work for you otherwise it'll be a go. Zowie will volunteer to serve as party treasurer, somehow things never add up when the rogue does it....

| Len use to play to Rogue in our group pretty much 9 times out of 10 and he always seemed to have plenty of cash on hand when he handled the books, which was always.
As a DM it wasn't my place to say anything and when I was a player half the time I was playing characters who didn't care about the cash side of the game.
Zowie on the other hand needs mad funds to keep her in wands when she hits 6th level and lays the dual wand wielder smackdown on the Red Hand of Doom.

| My Rogue is complete:
Grackas Dragonsfoe is a is a silverbrow human rogue. Even though he has silver dragons as ancestors he hates all dragons.
When he was a young child his Merchant family was part of a large caravan traveling from Thesk to Waterdeep which was attacked by a red dragon, he was one of a few survivors. He eventually made his way to Waterdeep and spends his spare time studying ways to kill dragons and to use their own powers against them. | | Champion of Champions (for all races! even Gnomes ) Reference Thread Winnipeg Gryphon Cavalry Forums

| The Election is closed. Our winner by a landslide is a Halfling Druid with his faithful Riding Dog.
Score: Character 1 Human Fighter (ex military merc)- 1 vote (Idzy) Character 2 Human Swashbuckler (low wisdom show-off) - 1 vote (Nicco) Character 3 Human Paladin (with a troubled past) - 0 votes Character 4 Halfling Druid (with faithful riding dog) - 3 votes (jacksonm, Omand, GriffonHeart)
I'll get to working on his stats right away. So, do I go with Twig and Berries? Or do I give the Halfling a more halflingish name and name the dog Katz? | | "GameKnight Games and Cool Stuff Winnipeg's source for RPGs and minis!" www.gameknight.ca

| Katz sucks as a name for the dog. If you don't go with Twig and Berries you'll have to come up with something else for the dog.
For that matter the St Bernard has been done to death, might I suggest a Dogo Argentino.

| Hello,
Beer Baron, I say go with some original naming on your part. Don't be swayed by the masses.
So, last night I was thinking I would settle on the cleric of Tyr as my character concept. Then I got to thinking again, do we wand "free" identify spells in the group? Magic domain on a cleric means divine focus rather than 100 gp pearls all the time.
Of course, we are likely gong to be playing the Red Hand of Doom, so the extra combat ability from a Cleric of Tyr would be valuable.
One question for all of your FR maniacs. Between Mystra and Tyr, which has a major shrine in Waterdeep (since that is where we are starting)?
Cheers

| Find a picture for me and I'll think about it. If a St. Bernard is out, how about a Great Dane? We had one as a kid, his name was McBee. For sentimental reasons I think McBee may live again. Although I am keen on Berries. It's such a humble name. And appropriate for a Druid. Very foresty and plantlike.
I think I will stick with Twig as the Halfling's name. It may be his Druidic name, a nickname, or a shortening of his last name "Twiggaberry". Wilhelm Scooter Nevin Twiggaberry, and his initials will be the same as mine.
Backstory to be flushed out soon. | | "GameKnight Games and Cool Stuff Winnipeg's source for RPGs and minis!" www.gameknight.ca

| If memory serves me correctly the City of Splendors has major temples to both Our Lady of Mysteries and the Lord of Justice.
Check my original post of the Dogo Argentino, the words Dogo Argentino are a link to a picture.
As for starting items we use the starting equipment packages in the PHB with the ability to swap out items of a similar cost for another. In addition to that you get a bonus item based on your starting region from the Player's Guide to Faerun.

| Hello all,
So, Bach, can you recap things for starting up just so we are all clear where we are headed an how?
I will have a character outline up soon, 81 pt buy, correct?
As to gaming dates, I know that I will be away on December 28th, other than that Wednesdays are good for me. If we only do 2 x per month (with Beer club and Star Wars taking up the other two), I can handle that as well.

| 1 week from today we will be starting. You will be starting near the city of waterdeep. Some of the more civilized characters will be starting right in waterdeep. It would appear that there is problem that needs to be taken care of. A call for heroes has been put out, for them to meet in one of the town squares at sundown.
yes it is 81 points where you pay 1 point per rank of your abilities. You must have one ability that has a negative modifer, before racial modifiers that is. The first thing that we will do next week is the meeting in the square. everyone except the neanderthal can read, so i will have copies of the announcement for everyone, and a fun poster for the neanderthal to try and figure out.
Will the heroes answer the call and help the people of the sword coast? We shall see. | | Knight of Ni Jay(Clerks 2) - would you "bleep" me?...i would "bleep" me...i would "bleep" me hard

| | So far the is yet to be nailed down fully. We are definitely playing on the 8th, and the 22nd. We will have to see what is happening on the 15th as it grows closer. But it is looking like we will be taking off the first and most likely the 3rd wednesday of the month, other than those two we will be playing. | | Knight of Ni Jay(Clerks 2) - would you "bleep" me?...i would "bleep" me...i would "bleep" me hard | |

Yes it does, the trees have heard it, and they call forth Twig and Berries to seek vengeance on evil doers who disrespect the forest.......

| The Cleric looks good Chris, although I would have liked to see a little Augment Healing on that feats list. Or sweet, sweet Disciple of the Sun......
We'll probably be starting at 6, or as soon as everyone arrives anyway.
I'd be down for half a pizza. I'm sure Nico would be in too.

Well, last night was fun. Good to meet the party and kill some rats (and skeletons).
Still suspicious about our employer and what exactly is going on.
Have faith in Tyr.
