| Informal poll time.
I'm starting to think ahead to the July schedule and in specific where the Ladder League will fall. What would your preference be for the summer months and how the league is run, 1) continue as is running one thursday and 1 saturday session each month, 2) just 1 thursday session a month, or 3) just a single saturday session per month?
The option I'm thinking of is perhaps running the 2 sessions per month but saying that unless we get 8 people it won't count againt one of the 12 league sessions. Players attending would still get their bonus points and compete against each other in the ladder moving up and down but an additional league session would be added at the end. In essence it would be a mini bonus session for the 4-7 players in attendance.
If only 1-3 players show up they would get their bonus points and another league session would be scheduled down the line to make up for it.

| I like just thursdays for July and August, since lots of people go out of town on weekends durring the summer.

Infected Allies
200 pts.
Special Rule: A random mini in each warbands carries a disease which deals it 5 magic dmg at the end of each round. The infected mini can get rid of the diease by dealing melee dmg to an enemy. The enemy that takes the dmg then becomes infected. A mini can be infected more than once.
Rare Sight to See
200 pts.
Special Rule: Each warband must have one, and only one, rare figure in it.
Rock, Paper, Scissors
200 pts.
Special Rule: Warbands must have two of the three following in its warband. Rock - A mini with the ability burrow.
Paper - A mini painted with its main colour white.
Scissors - A mini visably wielding a double edged sword.
Welcome to Mechanus
200 pts.
Special Rule: Youre warband must have at least 100 points worth of constructs in it.
Family Portrait
200 pts.
Special Rule: 150 points of your warband must be one type of mini (i.e. 150 points of dwarves, or orcs, or ogres, ect).
Bar Fight
200 pts.
Special Rule: Warbands can't have a mini that deals magic dmg. One mini in each warband gains the ability stagger (This mini doesn't have to charge in a straight line). You choose which mini in your warband gets the ability. | |

| Some of those have been used in the past or are being used. The last time they came around and I asked people's opinions on them no one spoke up. If you like them shout out and they'll make the schedule.
Many of them are falling into the categories we're trying to avoid, forcing people to have certain numbers of minis of a type to play. Your Mechanus, Family Portrait, and Rock Paper Scissors idea all fall into that category. If people don't have an all white mini and something that burrows or 100 points of constructs they can't play.
Rare Sight to see is fine, nothing special just a variant on the no rares theme. Something we could put on the schedule easily enough though.
As for Infected Allies and Bar Fight not my cup of tea but if other people are interested in them and speak up for them this time they'll go on the schedule.

| Thanks for the insight Mike. I'll take those comments into account when I make up my next batch of ideas.
I think Bar Fight will be fun. No magic dmg isn't as restricting and stagger is just for fun (Come on every adventuring party has a drunk). | |

| So, should Scott put in Sanctioning requests for Dreamblade Edge tournaments for June 9th and 16th? They would be 10 AM sessions running against the Star Wars minis games at the same time.
I've more or less made up the July schedule as well. Wednesday and Tursday are pretty much chalk (D&D RPG and AAM Wednesday (1 sanctioned), Sanctioned 200 point, limited (maybe draft), 500 point and ladder league tournaments respectively). No games Fridays.
Saturday mornings would be SWM 100 points sanctioned by myself, Starship Battles and DMB Edge, SWM 200 points Sanctioned, and Starships battles and DMB edge.
The afternoons will include Epic DDM sanctioned by myself, 200 points non-sanctioned, Tylers DDM Bar Fight (Free admision to anyone smashing a beer bottle over his head.....just kidding, maybe), and either a non-sanctioned 500 point game or another theme someone suggests. | | | |

I will endeavour to hall my ass outta bed for 10 am dreamblade if it's scheduled. However, it would be nice if that afternoon also had good DDM tournaments scheduled. From MIke's list of probable saturday DDM anything other than barfight would qualify as good. | |

A rare sight to see...meh...but it would work.
Family portrait is racial day with a different name. It's been done, and seemed to work well enough.
Welcome to Mechanus would also be good. Most players have more of the new stuff, and there has been alot of constructs. I would add that all constructs get the faction "any" denomer. I vote for that as well.
I like "House of Commons", where all miniatures must be commons. I vote for that.
I also like "Retro Night" where we play on tiles with a 12 figure limit. I vote for that too.
Running Dreamblade saturday mornings seems like the best option. Remind me to put in the sanctioning requests and I'll get that done. | |

You mean I couldn't play my Moon Elf Fighter, Shadowdancer x4, Gnome Trickster, Hunting Cougar, Gnome Recruit band?
As I have it the Dreamblade games would be followed by non-sanctioned 200 and 500 point DDM tournaments.

| How about 200pt Kill or be Killed....ie: no morale checks, no figure limits (whatever fits in 200pts, no matter how many), and no tile points. Game doesn't end until one team is completely eliminated.
I hate failing morale, and I know we all have a bzillion low point critters that are itching for some swarmin'.......Imagine being able to use every Acheron Goblin that you own....
How 'bout that?

| Assault is where you have to get to the middle of the map, right? Or is that Gambit? I can never get those straight....
Anyway, I know it would take a lot longer, but I think it would be a fun 'backup' scenario for days when just a few players show up.
Capping it at 16 is a good idea.

Well I'm of mixed feelings on this, I'm supposed to be demoing dreamblade that night, but I'm also supposed to be at KeyCon. Is Scott keeping the store open Friday night?

| I have got Tyler in this Friday. However if there is no tournament I will probably leave instructions for him to close early. Got to save some cash to pay off that tax bill of mine.
Puffy - I like the idea of Kill or Be Killed (no moral), harkens back to the original skirmish game of minis. 16 figs would be reasonable too. Another vote from me. | |
