| I have not played SW roleplaying game in a long time.
Last I played was when it was owned by WestEndGames and used the d6 system.
We used to use the little figures from micro machines to represent our characters. So I always have used minis.
If we were to play again i think the new minis would have worked out great. I would just wish there were more generic characters who could be used as PCs instead needing to use Han Solo to be my Human Smuggler.

| I'm not currently running an SW RPG so I'm not getting much RPG use out of these figures.
I've used Tarken and some imperial officers to represent Nazi troopers in a time travelling D&D game.
That is about it. So far. I think the huge monsters in the UHP will see some D&D use as well. | | Robert Rosehart Champion of the pixie

| I'm planning on it. There's a couple of games I'd like to run in the SW universe.
The first one would take place on a low-tech world a Sith cruiser crashlanded on a melliena ago, they dominated and then inter-bred with the human colonists on the world creating a society ruled by "Sorcerer Kings". It would be closer to D&D than SW I'd be using modified classes and the Force Adept as my "magic user" class. About halfway through the campain I'd switch gears from low tech and start landing Imperial Troops and Stormtroopers. [}:)]
The other game, which I'm more likely to find players for would be a all Jedi or Force sensitive party. It would be taking place at the tail end of the Clone Wars and the begining of the Empire. | My favourite era has been somewhere between Ep3 and Ep4. In my last game, the jedi were being hunted down, players met Mon Mothma trying to arrange rebellion etc.
I'm not quite sure about the next setting, but it will probably be alternate timeline: The emperor's coup wasn't perfectly succesful. Sure, the empire has formed, but republic is still there, although it's moving towards the point where it might be called 'rebellion' rather than republic. Many of the great Jedi have fallen, but there are still maybe about 60 Jedi or so. The separatists exist still as well, but under empire's heavy assaults they've withdrawn to moderately small area and republic has had no contact with them for quite a while. It is possible they could form an alliance that could stand against the empire, but they might not trust each other enough. | | Vindicated AtG Called shot: 2nd Huge Red Dragon My collected trade reference links Star Wars tactical combat -project My modelling/terrain pages Suomen miniatyyrikeräilijät / Miniature collectors of Finland

| | The Period between ep 3&4 is ripe for gameplay and roleplay. Some friends of mine did a summer game where they took the roles of Jedi Hunters employed by the Empire. No force users or sensitives were allowed, in addition characters would "re-spawn" in between missions. They quickly found it's very hard to take on a Jedi without some force training of your own. Blasters were used less and less as time went on, they began to rely on explosives and the occasional grenade when they caught one flat footed. | | Pathetic Earthlings. | That must have been pretty interesting... I remember the feel when playing Kotor, when the first darksider appeared and my main character wasn't a force user... A npc was, but still playing against a dark jedi with a 'mundane' was pretty scary.
I have some great ideas for the upcoming campaign - people start as low-level characters, and come to a neutral space station. I haven't planned details yet too much, but the first major opponent will be Scoundrel/Jedi (maybe 2/2) with skill focus on computer use. He's an assassin sent by a Sith (Dooku or Sidious, both are alive but on different sides now, as I explained the situation before) that hacks into security camera systems and kills with force grip. There's something for the players to solve [:D] | | Vindicated AtG Called shot: 2nd Huge Red Dragon My collected trade reference links Star Wars tactical combat -project My modelling/terrain pages Suomen miniatyyrikeräilijät / Miniature collectors of Finland

| | I'm still going through my DDM stuff for use in the SW game. I'm thinking Lizardfolk will come in handy as "friendly natives" for one of the planets/scenario. The Renegade Warlock once I'm done stripping and re-painting him will make an awsome Darkside Devotee. | | Pathetic Earthlings. | | I'm thinking of doing a mod with the Warforged Wizard as well. With a repaint and a red lightsaber he will make quite the Sith acolyte. | | Pathetic Earthlings. Thats a really good idea. I'd be fun to paint too. | | H/W List Successful trades (94) Trades in progress (3): Van Hoo III, Slapdragon, Lance

| I was looking at the WF from Giants of legend, I figured they would make interesting droids made by an outer rim world. A very Big Ditto for the Warforged Titan.

Oh yes, warforged in general might be interesting in star wars...
