| | You are dead on about the Rebels. They seem the most nerfed when you take away the rare figures. It looks like they do better as a Rebel/Fringe matchup, rather than pure Rebel. As far as guys dealing 20 damage your best bet would be the elite Hoth Troopers. | | Pathetic Earthlings. | | I'm totallly with Sean there. I wanted to put some warbands together recently to play with some friends but one of the challenges I had was I couldn't bring myself to put Mace Windu together with Naboo Soldiers...somehow it just didn't make sense. | | Robert Rosehart Champion of the pixie

| Pademae with Naboo soldiers works pretty well, either her or Typho realy. I find the best way to intro a new player to the game is rebels vrs empire. I generally have them run this band.
Princess Leia, Senator Luke Skywalker, Rebel Rebel Officer Wookie Soldier Rebel Pilot Rebel Commando Rebel Trooper x5 (99pts)
While I run
Darth Vader, Dark Jedi[)] Grand Moff Tarkin Imperial Officer Stormtrooper officer Heavy Stormtrooper Scout Trooper Stormtrooper x8 (99pts)

| Hehe... I broke the topic on my own thread even. [:0]
Most of the people I break in the game for want to play around with the classic characters. While several of the Rares and Very Rares are mighty indeed, basic Luke and Leia are not too powerfull. Although Leia's commander effect gives me a quite a bit of trouble.
I agree that fixed minatures should be in a catagory all to themself. It's odd but I find a number of the fixed "rares" to be better than their Rare and Very Rare counterparts. Grevious is a prime example, Jedi Hunter may be a powerhouse but the Supreme Commander is so much more worthwhile if you are running lots of droids.

Sorry, we were talking about squads with no rares here [:)]
On the other hand, IMO starter -minis should be categorized as 'Fixed' rather than rare, as anyone who wants to get into the game can get them automatically at the same time than he's getting playmat, rulebook and other things.
