| There are no sanctioned formats for SWM other than the Kill them all format. Perhaps as the game evolves there will be something but I'm not quite sure they are needed at the moment.

| I don't play in sanctioned games at all.
Heck, I don't even like using tiles for DDM minatures. In fact the tile system is one of the reasons I don't play DDM as much as SWM. I Hate Tiles.[:D] | | Pathetic Earthlings. | Tiles are not legal in DCI sanctioned events. You can only use the pre-printed battle maps that come with the starter set. You can check out the DCI floor rules on the wotc webpage for more info.

| | I wonder how legal the Rots map is, my friends and I have had some issues with it allready. It still is my favorite map to play on however. | | Pathetic Earthlings. Hrm. Considering how the "chosen one" brought balance to the force, that might not be such a good thing [)] | | | |

| Strangely enough, while DDM was created with tourny play in mind, SWM was not. The strong sales and strong demand for DDM-style tournament support took the designers by surprise. As such, we have tiles that were created to modify existing maps (in order to play Ultimate Missions scenarios, or you own recreations) and maps that aren't exactly balanced to play on.
It will be interesting to see what the DCI rules will be in a year. Will they have special maps for tourny play, or will it be tiles like DDM? | | | |
