Here's my general Droid Army led by Grevoius, Supreme Commander
General Grievous, SC
Wat Tambor
Battle Droid Officer
Bodyguard Droid
Superbattle Droid x5
Battle Droid x10
200points

This ends up giving the Superbattle droids within 6 squares of grevious +10 double attack, the battledroids +8 double attack and the Body Guard Droid +16 double attack. You shield your army with the Battledroids, lay down withering fire with the Superbattle droids. When the enemy reaches your lines send out Grevious and his Bodyguard Droid to take them down, just look out for Lightsaber sweeps.

Pathetic Earthlings. Hurling your bodies out into the void - without the slightest inkling of who or what is out here. If you had known anything about the true nature of the universe - anything at all - you would have hidden from it in terror.

Gotta love the big G [:D]
+4 Double Attack for cheap but hard hitting units is great.
Our league has stayed so far with 100pts, so my standard droid army is:
General Grievous, Supreme Commander
Battle Droid Officer
Super Battle Droid x4
Battle Droid x2

If I want more activations, I can sub out 2 SBDs for 5 BDs or 1 Security Droid and 3 BDs. Or if I want to do melee, a Bodyguard. I just love that the troops point costs (4, 8, 10 or 20)- Makes it so easy to sub things out.

So i suppose the Supreme commander Grievous is his best version?

I'd say so, yes. The Clone Strike version of him was allright the current version that gives a +4 bonus attack is superior. I've had some Luck with the Jedi Hunter and I understand you can do some interesting stuff with him on his wheelbike. SCG abbility to turn cheap sub-par units into +8(with officer droid) double attacking troops is more worthwhile.

uhhh....Sly Moore cant give Sidious 2 force a turn
Dominate doesnt "activate" the character, and Force Renewal is only when the character activates

I fail to see how it does not not work. Are you telling me that there is distinction between a character "taking a turn", and or "activating".

We decided that it is not the character's 'turn.' Still Sly's. So you don't get an activation bonus, because it 'replaces' her turn. So no extra force.

Yeah I just checked the Wizard's boards not too long ago, they also make a distiniction on Sly that doesn't let me build up the extra force points. Well it still lets me Sith lightning twice with a character.[}:)]

And one Sith Lightning a turn from a character is bad enough, now we're talking 60 damage a turn, no wonder the Sith are EVIL... lolz

Alternatly I could see a Windu-R2D2-Syl build that lets Mace double attack twice.[xx(]

Amen to that. I was reading at the WoTC forums about the complaints regarding override and how abusive it is, which made me wonder what are good/solid counters to it aside from having another "overider", because i hardly think having accurate shot is an all reliable counter to overide? Oh and no bannings like the one they did to the poor drider.

Seriously though, we use peer pressure in our SWM league- Okay, you can play with it once to see how it works, but this is supposed to be for FUN. Anyone with a "win at all costs" attitude suddenly finds himself with no opponents [xx(]

Well there is the Iktotchi Tech Specialist who can Door Gimick, forcing a door open and overiding R2D2. I played a 300 point game today, Battledroids vrs Jedi. R2D2 messed up my entire kill zone by closing a door, If I had gone for a 14 point Techie instead of a Battledroid and Superbattledroid I would have been all set.

But how come they ruled it that only characters with override can open a door overriden by R2? The door gimick thing though looks cool.

Oh... I thought they came to their senses and put in the Tech Specialist as a counter to the utter horror that is R2D2.

I just checked out the Thread for Over-ride on the Wizards board.... now I remember why I don't post there. [:D]

I'm going to post a question to the rules people about Door Gimick, I don't see anywhere on the two cards that makes Over-ride trump it. It realy looks like a matter of timing, If R2D2 goes first and seals a door the Tech Adept can open it; if the Tech Adept declares a door open R2D2 can over-ride it.

You are a better man than me. I got sucked into the What Happened to the Clones After Episode III thread (i.e. Are all Stormtroopers clones?) where one poster describes Lucas as God... ugh. Nevermind, don't want to bring that bile over here. [xx(]
