| | There are some people who have made custom maps and posted them online. Also in each of the Ultimate Missions books new scenario maps are included, Clone strike for instance has the Genosis Arena. | | Pathetic Earthlings. | Here is a good list of sites that have maps/terrain for SWM. My site is the third one down. (Thanks to AllGoodGecko for compiling the list.)

They vary in quality- from 'good' to 'OMG, frigging great!" ΖD]
The humbug is getting access to a printer that can print the entire map, or printing sections and taping them together. Ah, I miss my previous job where I had unsupervised access to a big plotter...

Those maps are being cleaned up and released as part of the WotC Tournament Kits, only available to WotC Premier stores. Check the Wizards.com website to find the nearest one- Then contact them and find out if they are running SWM Leagues or Tournments. If so, great. If not- talk em into it. If you can make it to a Tournament or League, do so*. Last two months was the Cantina Map. This month (and I suspect next) is Bespin.
*And if you can't make it or have no events near you, you can always trade for them...

Actually, the Cantina Map I was talking about is different from the one in UM: Rebel Storm.
The one in UM: Rebel Storm will never be tournament legal. The one in the Retailer Kits was redesigned to be tournament legal. If that sort of thing matters to you.
In any event, you can probably get both Cantina and Bespin cheaper than UM: Rebel Storm, which would be the way to go if you are just getting the Ultimate Missions for maps...

Yeah, maybe you should ΖD] They are really popular here, and I am trying to make sure they get the widest possible distribution. The only thing I don't like about them is how they are folded- Sure, fewer folds mean fewer creases, but it makes mailing and even transporting more difficult (unless you roll them in a tube). I really liked that the previous maps (except RotS Starter) would fit in a sheet protector that I could then put in a 3 ring binder...
I expect that they are going to eventually go through all the Ultimate Missions and do the same thing- A relatively easy way for them to get more tournament maps out there... as soon as they give official starting areas [:I]
BTW- Love the Zim avatar...

| I'd really love to get a hold of the two retailer kit maps. Unfortunately I'm unaware of a SWM tourney scene in my area. It'd be great if there was one since it appears each retailer kit comes with a dozen maps to hand out.
I have printed out a couple maps from that map/tile list. Some are very nicely done. In particular the Tattooine street map from Matty Lee's site. Absolutely beautiful. Also the terrain tiles on Base Contact are great. Very cool Jedi Starfighters.

| Noveber with the AT-AT I assume, it would be nice if they included some in retailer packets as well in november/december.

There is a special oversized Hoth map included with the AT-AT. Has trenches, turrets etc.
I don't think they will include any new maps in the retailer kits for awhile. If pattern holds true, every two months they will 'clean up' one of the Ultimate Mission maps. And it really makes sense- they already have the UM maps designed and approved, it is just a matter of fixing the problem areas.
Now, if they would just get on the ball and make official starting areas so the maps could become tournament legal...

| | I agree Mordantos. I'm really looking foward to seeing the new maps included in the Attack on Endor pack. I want to see how they pull off the look of the Endor/forest scene. | | Star Wars Miniatures Custom Map and Scenario Resource: The Crotalus Den | |

I don't think anyone got measurements, just verbal descriptions from Gen Con. One is on sale here: http://cgi.ebay.com/Colossal-AT-AT-figure-for-Star-Wars-Miniatures_W0QQitemZ5244691943QQcategoryZ2537QQcmdZViewItem
The map is described as "Large Scale"
