| Ok, I had a trade with another person, will not state who but there was communication gaps and such we got the trade finalized but then they state that the package came back and are asking for my address again...
So they have yet to send the package, again.
Do I have the right to cancel the trade? (I have yet to receive their minis?)

| This is a tough one...I would say that after a month or so, the trade could be considered a failure and canceled.

| | Based solely on the information given, and my own personal opinions on trading etiquette, if you agreed to the trade, and the other party is sending their end first, if they have sent with DC the first time, then they have proof that they sent something. I would contact the person saying that if they do not provide DC on sending this time to not bother and cancel the trade. | |

| IMO
If there are communication gaps and after a reasonable amount of time (1 month is a reasonalbe amount of time) you have not received your package, then you have the right to cancel the trade.Â
I would also weight their trade references and history. A new trader would not get this benefit.Â
It's still a tough call.Â

| | I also have not received from the same trader after 2 months, after the package was supposedly sent once and never received. I never received delivery confirmation information on the supposed first package, and I never received notification of any kind that the trade was sent the 2nd time. After one month, I told jeremiahcarissa that I'd have to just cancel the trade. He inisted that wasn't necessary and would ship again. After another month with no package and no communication, I consider my trade with him to be cancelled by default (though your thread reminds me that I need to send him another message to that effect and post something to the disputed trades thread). If I ever do receive the package (doubtful), I'll only complete the trade if I still have the promised minis. If I don't have them anymore, I'll just send his package back. 2 months is a completely unreasonable length of time for me to hold minis as unavailable for trade with other potential trade partners. It's too bad, because the trade was in my favor (though not outrageously so, as I recall). Maybe he realized that and had second thoughts. I can only speculate. | |

| Honestly I've seen chuckles take a long time in trades also. The first trade went off sort of on time, but I definetely remember having to badger the OP a few times just to get my minis to me, and this was *after* I had sent my end promptly. I'm not necessarily trying to rehash old trades, but I'd much rather have someone take awhile to get their end to me when I havent sent mine out, then what happened with a trade or two with the OP where I sent mine out and it took forever, close to a month and a half to two months to get my part.
So while one person's(jeremiahcarissa) may seem a little weird, others have done a little bit more and not had anyone call them out. Also chuckles, no one asked for the person's name, so saying you dont want to tell and then blurting it out didnt really help out anything. | |
