let me know if you are planning to attend, by posting on this thread. Just trying to get a feel for numbers.
The event will be on Sunday, March 5. The start time is 1 pm.
Maps from the starter, and given out at the tournament, will be the only legal maps.
In the interest of time, try to get there early so we can start promptly. I expect to start announcing the new rules, if needed, at 1. I expect to distribute boosters by 1:15 or 1:20 - and you'll have 20 minutes to build and register your band.
Check out the DCI Floor rules if you have any questions. All rounds are assault. I recommend buying a starter as soon as you can to learn the new rules before Sunday, but that is your choice.
Cost is $37 - the extra money goes to boosters for more prizes - every 3 players generates a booster.
I will be printing out the floor rules and will have 5-10 copies with me (assuming I remember) for people to read. Of course, these are not 100% accurate right now, but I believe all the relevant information is accurate.

| I'll play anywhere, anytime. Ideally, I'd like to have bi-weekly events at MD and at Dreamers, on alternating weeks, so that I can play each week. Any time on the weekends is good, any time after 6 on weekdays is possibly workable.
I'm also willing to take a turn running an event, though I have no experience with it and my rules knowledge is less than perfect (and less than most of our other players).

| So, just so I make sure I have this right. [:)] The event at Dreamers has been moved from Saturday to Sunday, at 1:00 pm.
I just want to make sure, since the WotC site mentions it is on Saturday, and it would be pretty disconcerting to be the only one there. [:)]
A couple follow-up questions: Are the maps being given out the replacement Broken Demongate maps, or are we getting a map instead of a promo figure (or both)? Also, any chance that there will be extra Aspect of Lolth and Mordenkinen Epic cards available? [)] Does Dreamers get the retail kits or was that something Gadszooks was responsible for getting?
Finally, a curiosity question: Did Gadszooks have a schedule conflict or is he no longer running events? Is that why the event date was changed?

I am pretty sure that we get the maps from the starter :) and also get the correct version of one the broken map from the starter. You can only use one of the maps from the starter.
I don't know about the promo stuff, I'll see if I can find out. I'll also check on the past retail kits.
Gadzooks has somewhat disappeared. He has not called Dreamer's back in some time. | |
