200 point constructed assault Sunday April 30 RPG Arena/Asian Flix 1907 Sheridan Road Lawton, OK 73505 580-353-2303 (behind Church's Chicken on Sheridan Road) Feel free to call or stop by with questions. Sign up starts: 12:00 Tournament starts: 1:00 Entry fee: $2.00 Prizes: 1st - Wardrums booster or choice of a different booster from another set. 2nd - Two repainted miniatures with card 3rd - One repainted miniature with card Three additional repainted miniatures given out through a drawing of remaining players. I saw that there seems to be a DDM community going at Oklahoma City and Stillwater but not in this area of Oklahoma. To help encourage play I'll will hold a tournament and hopeing for a good turn out. If more than expected sign up I'll see about increasing the prizes.

Still just over a month away, the tournament seems to be helping to get a little interest. I'm hopeing for a decent turnout, OKC seems to be getting a good turnout fromt he posts, Stillwater has a few things going. Most players that game at the store here are still pretty new to the game.

Interesting, I live Wichita Falls, TX, so I would definately be interested as long as I'm free that weekend (don't know for sure yet). I usually go to OKC and play with Daunte at his events at Games HQ, and sometimes go to bigger events (like pre-releases and qualifiers) in Garland,TX (suburb of Dallas). And I believe it's Lantern 314 that runs events in Stillwater, OK (although I haven't had the pleasure of playing up there with his crew yet). I'm actually from SW Oklahoma originally; grew up and went to high school in Carnegie, OK and then lived in Norman, OK for several years. I just moved to Wichita Falls in January. I don't get to game in personal to much since moving here, but I've been going on Vassal a lot lately.

Sounds great, the players here would love to have more people for it. I'm not really sure just how many will end up and come but hope its a decent turn out. Going to be the first DDM tournament here that I know of.

Still 3 weeks away, the local players here in Lawton are looking forward to it. I'm expecting things to be small (but be nice if I was wrong) but hopefully everyone has fun.

Sounds like fun and wish i could come Coven! But the ugly beast has been rearing her head lately. With being gone every other saturday, this comingfri and sat for distracticon, making it 3 weeks in a row, and the qualifier in Garland and gencon, if i left the house for one more mini event i would come home to find a huge melted pile of plastic in the drive way. If Rolland does show though, watch out, he is pretty good (and is pretty lucky since he gave me all the bad luck in the world yesterday).

I can attest to Rolland's good skills as well he trounced me pretty handily at the WD prerelease. I was excited that I might come to your tourney in Lawton but then I realized that it is the same weekend as my (soon to be [as in this Friday]) wife's birthday. So its a no go for me[:(] But hopefully next time.

I don't run them, I just play. I'm the only one here with any kind of online presence though. We'd love to have any of you joing us some time. That weekend is already full for me, but I'm glad to see that you are trying to get something going. There has to be someone at Ft. Sill that is interested in playing. We've had guys come from Weatherford, and I know that there are some players close to the panhandle. You might be a closer location for them to go to as well.

It might be good for some of the new players here to see someone experienced play. My hope is that it becomes successful enough I can see about running it in a regular, semiregular basis or seccessful enough to look into sanctioning it. Right now it's sort of like a test run to see what happens, what I can expect and so forth. I do plan to run another one in the future to give it a chance for it to build.

I'll have to see about coming along to play. I could use as much practice as I can get, and I've been itching to try out a few bands before qualifiers. I'm normally play the Good faction...and made a nice showing of CG in Distractacon, but I don't know how it would fare in larger venues...and need to test out a few of my Evil bands and see how viable they are.
