| Every Saturday between 2PM & 6PM DDM Events are held at The Game Escape in Crystal Lake off Rt. 14.

It's a small venue and things are just getting off the ground. Prizes include league kit pieces, as well as donated rares, uncommons, and commons.
Events: League events are held every Saturday in which a tournament isn't held. During league events each game you play nets you a chance to win a mini. The victor of each match rolls a d20 twice and keeps the best roll; their opponent gets to roll the d20 once. On a natural 20 you win a rare, but everyone walks away with a mini. Also, your win records are kept and at the end of the month League Kit Prizes are handed out in order of highest W-L record to lowest. As things are just getting started you are almost sure to get some pieces.
Tournament Events: The Game Escape does hold sanctioned events and submits results to DCI. Not to worry, the atmosphere is very light and fun is the priority. Prizes include booster packs, repainted miniatures, or individual rares. Often the winner is allowed their choice of the above!
The Venue: Quite a few new comers attend the events so experienced players are encouraged to help newer players along often with incentives. The owner of the store, (Scott), is regularly in attendance and is friendly. No prior notice of attendance is necessary, just show up and have fun. Game play is a bit loose. House rules on individual league games are allowed if the organizer is notified and all players involved in the particular game agree to the terms. Tournament play will follow Sanctioned Rules. (Any exceptions will be posted prior to the event.)
If you don't have any DDM gear, not to worry the event organizer and other regulars have extra maps, minis, and dice for you to use. If your just starting out we'll help you build a band and get to playing.
Also, Scott often demonstrates games and has a large selection of various games available for people who stop in to play for those of you who like distractions.
