| How are you doing at the tourney today Chad, and what did you bring?
Sorry I couldn't make it. Had to work and then my shift was changed at the last minute and then I didn't have to work after all (but by then it was way too late to go, around 11:00 am) - so yes it sucks to be me.
I should be down for WotDQ pre-release though.... So expect to see me then, epic sealed will rock even if I don't win a game.
Btw, shout outs to my OKC crew that made the trip (Daunte - CJ Werlinger, GooDisBad - Jason Cook, and Jeremy) as well as the Dallas crew (yourself included) and Pegasus Knight.
If you get time let us know how everybody's doing (man I hate not being there)

| Lance Hawvermale is Lance H on the boards and is from Stillwater, Oklahoma. I think he is a WoTC delegate as well (though I may be mistaken.)

| It was a pleasure meeting you Chad. I wish I'd actually socialized outside of the Austin group more - I didn't get to introduce myself to Simage, Felaxdraco, or several others it appears.

simage, if they have the TX qualifier in Garland or even Waco next year, we might have to work something out (espeically if you're willing to take an alternate route to get there (I'm near a major highway)). | | Trade & talk in real time on IRC! | Chad, it was great meeting you at the Qualifier, and great to meet the Oklahoma crowd.
Pegasus Knight was keeping notes, and since he... well, won, he should get the privilege of reporting. [:)]

| Maxminis own Pegasus Knight took the tournament with a rouge CG band, including of course, his incredibly beautifully painted Pegasus. The two Marut bands listed earlier (James Clesi, who placed 2nd and Matthew Bosch) and a rouge Sand Giant band (piloted by Matt Wood, one of Austin's own) filled out the top four qualifiers.
I don't have all the details and don't want to steal PK's thunder - I think he's preparing a pretty compehrensive tournament report. I may try to put one together tonight as well, although my notes are nowhere near as comprehensive. I had my most fun match against Lance H - a 100% mirror match.
I went 4-2, taking a Rakshasha, 3x Helmed Horror band there, but placed last (9th out of 24) of the 4-2s (had two early losses, which is never good for the tiebreaks). The guys at the Garland store were awesome, and Chad made a great host. It was a really, really fun event.

| I took notes on my own matches, but you guys saw what kind of whirlwind schedule we were on; I didn't have time to get everyone's notes. If you want to contribute notes for me to add to my report, please email them to me and I'll check 'em out.
I have to admit, winning a Qualifier on 3 hours sleep over the last 48 hours was kind of surreal. | | - Irrationally Fanatical Champion of Pegasus-mounted cavalry - Proud member of Team Low Tier Beasting: I play CG as my main faction! - Garland, TX 2006 Qualifier Champion My trading thread: http://www.maxminis.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=19725

| Hiya! This is my first post on here. I was at the Garland event (Jerry Starr) and it was a blast. :) I wish my dice had performed a little better in the last two rounds but other than that I had a great time.
And heya SilentG! I faced you in round 3...and probably would have lost to you if it hadn't been for those two ones you rolled with the Marut on my Aspect.

| I played at the qualifier and have the dubious honor of finishing dead last (except for the guy who left during the first round... what was his problem?) My warband was LG Village Priest/3 Arcanix Guards/ WF Bodyguard/ Standardbearer/ Aramil/ Mounted Paladin on King's Road.
obviously it ran into some problems as I finished 1-5 with the one victory actually being a bye that I recieved in the third round... I passed that round trading my flesh golem for a mind flayer telepath and playing my buddy Drew in a pickup game to try and teach him the rules... he pulled together a Balor/ HGB combo and we pounded on each other until the real games ended. Despite losing I had a blast and would like to tell everyone I met and/or played with thank you for you're patience with my fuzzy understanding of the rules and for the constructive advice many of you gave me regarding my warband selection and tactics. Everyone was extremely nice and polite and I hope to see you all again if not at the DQ Prerelease then at another tourny somewhere down the road.
very happy to hear that Pegasus Knight won the qualifier... his custom painted minis where gorgeous.
I guess now he's one step closer to making his namesake mini. Good luck at Gen Con. | | Champion of Pierce, warforged archer/commando, and all other quality unique minis because how else will Drizzt become tier 1?

We missed you there Mr Rolland - we had fun! I went a dissappointing 2-4 with some very narrow losses. But at least my wins were decisive!
