| | I think the exarch's wings would be the best fit as the curves are smoother and go with the rounded features of the warforged. But this is just me.... | | Ambassador of FUN!!! | |

| The Spyre Hunter wings are awesome but don't quite fit the flow of a warforged which imho is a bit cartoonish (anyone seen Robots?)
I will agree with giffrat...exarch fits better, actually either of the Swooping Hawk Wings work. | | Trades >> Completed: 49 | Bad: Ø | Pending: 0 | Trade & talk Live on IRC! SERVER: irc.psionics.net CHANNEL: #maxminis

I was thinking the exact same thing.
Too bad the Heroclix is a Unique. Those are some DAMN fine wings.
Or click around for some images from the comics or other toys. Some of the wings are pretty decent--others just suck.

| You could cut off Rikka's wings. She'd look funny without them, but I'd let you make it up to her by taking us out to dinner one night :)
Interestingly, page 177 of the Races of Eberron book has a very cool picture of a warforged with wings. It's a docent/artifact component, but it looks kind of cool on a warforged. | | POST DISCLAIMER: Above post may contain humor. Now with micro scrubbing bubbles. Do not operate heavy machinery. | Yeah I saw that Cape of Flying or whatever it is. Looks sweet. Right now I'm looking at doing one of these sets ...

I'm rapidly becoming obsessed with Warforged. It all started when that Warforged Wizard came out ... day one I knew I wanted to trim a staff and give him a knife or a set of nunchuks. Now I'm on a freaking roll and can't stop.
I want to mod one with wings ... well, as long as I can get it to look right. Next time we play I'll bring the latest one by Kiddoc ... it looks pretty sweet too (for my meager skills).
Unfortunately, that cloak, while cool, is simply not suitable for mounting wings. I will have to use a WFF or (ug...) a Warforged Hero as a base. Man I'm going to hate chopping into a WFH, but so be it. I'm pretty depressed that there isn't a new warforged in this set ... I want to get a female-personality WF model mocked up at some point too. | | Triangle DDM Skirmish Group | My Email | 45-ish trades and counting | Stuff for Trade * * * Show your brother some love and click here * * *

| Well, you can do some neat effects by "stacking" the Swooping Hawk/Spyre Hunter wings.
Since you're already going to lengths to convert the Warforged, why not just add some "robes" out of clay or shave down the area until it's suitable. It'd be a bit of extra work, but it might be worth it. Just keep a couple un-modded Warforged around so you have something to work off of when you do your repairs...[)]
I'll email you a couple images that I've cobbled together. | | Champion of the Werewolf Lord, Knight of Anything Duergar, and Squire of Things Gnollish List reset with the start of previews for each new set...got Chainmail®?

| Another possibility for wings are the Urban Mammoth/VASA figures. There's a figure called an Archangel that might work; could be too high-tech:
http://www.coolminiornot.com/85543 (I didn't paint this one.)
I think it might fit the theme better than feathered wings or the fragile-looking Eldar wings. | | Champion of the common Flying Monkey (Fez optional) Peter Lee on the WotC board BAD WOLF

| Have you thought about the Sprite's wings from MageKnight? Definitely a fey look to them so perhaps not what you're looking for but it would be immensely easy to cut and paste as opposed to creating from scratch. warrior sprite
I have some extras of these I picked up in a large lot...

I have done a couple of repaint/mods with wings removed from the Protectar. A figure I don't think anyone would feel bad about mutilating, whereas Rikka is amazing. Hats off to Kiddoc!
The wings pop off with little effort and are easy to mounted on another figure. If I get to it I will post pictures of them soon. | | Champion of Axe Beaks and Brownies

That is pretty spiffy. I can find some places that sell online, but they appear to be randomly packaged. How big are they?
The FF Creatures are indeed random, so you'll have to get them off of Ebay or a good toy/comic store if you want a specific one. They are a bit larger in scale then D&D minis (most are around fire giant size)

| | Take a look at the Regal Sky-mage from Mage Knight's Sorcery set. The wings are feathered with a techno component, maybe perfect for Warforged. Best of all, they come separately from the figure. | | | |
