My wife and I (we are both new to the game) were arguing the other day during a game of Dreamblade about the Jack of Blades ability. I'm hoping someone here can clear up our dispute, and that she'll take this as official.
So I had a Jack of Blades in play and rolled a balde during a strike. Jack of Blades ability states, "
Expel —
You may move target engaged enemy one cell." I read the rule as I can move
any
enemy in the dreamscape that is engaged. She read it as I can move any enemy that is engaged with the Jack of Blades. Who is correct?

It's a simple matter of how "engaged" is defined in Dreamblade: "In a cell with one or more enemies." If it meant that it would only work on targets engaged with the Jack of Blades, it would say "target
local
enemy".
If your wife is still skeptical, have her read some tournament reports on the WotC web site. This one in particular - "Chicago Chessmaster Showdown" -

and

will make clear how expel can be used to devastating effectiveness (Dreadmorph Ogre) and will back you up.

Thanks for the clarification guys. I never considered simply looking at how engaged is defined.
