| | I was at the Bush Bash Chrysotic Plague release event (nice job Rob!) and noticed that quite a few figures from the booster prize support were being rejected as they were not that hot. As an aside many of us rejected Buzzkill Clown and I'd love to meet someone who is paying those prices for him you see on eBay.
Anyways, there was this pile of not so hot minis at the end of the day and I was thinking should we not be building some mediocre warbands to give away to new people to the game so's we can teach 'em? It might be worth trying some sort of all common Chessmaster to get newbies used to the concept of the ordering of cells to conduct combat in. Or we could all donate our now redundant Kitsunes....

| I have done this exact thing with all of my excess commons and uncommons. First I give what I can to my buddy, so he has practice fodder, then I leave the rest at the Shop for others to play with/borrow and learn with for when I'm not there.

I was the charismatic goatee bearded one whose dazzling play was the talk of the day. And then I woke up in my squalid flat.
I think you could construct a band around Knight of Tomorrow or Twightlight Scout with a few Passion pieces with large dice action, topped off with a Bloodcut Behemoth, Forgeblind Punisher or Painmonger. Use the little herberts with Skirmish and Advance to move about the 7 Power Big Boy for ensuing low budget mayhem. I think newer players will then start to get a grip on conducting combat in sequence. They'll also learn the value of a Warcharm (until it gets banned).
Admittedly it is a pants warband which I wouldn't turn up to an Edge with but I'm keen this game survives and doesn't turn into MTG where a top constructed deck costs serious money.

| Hmm. If u stopped playing magic for that reeason, be glad, the curent decks have 4-12 special lands that cost £10 each... except one, which uses the Urza lands and a common to win all the time.. I thikn with DBM though, the band with better rares will normally win just due to heartsbloods and reapers owning.
