| Hey everyone,
I'm very interested in putting together an online Dreamblade league here at Maxminis. Would anyone be interested in playing? My idea is this - we have several games one night a week - 2/3 of the players have games, 1/3 act as Judges for those games. Everyone registers their warband at the beginning of the "season". I'd even be willing to provide prize support (maybe a couple of boosters for first place, a couple for second, and 1 for third and fourth). So, respond here if you are interested.

| | i would certainly be interested. depends on what night of the week though. i could really only do it on thursday or LATE wednesday. let me know how this develops. great idea, by the way, i finally won't have to drive forever to play "organized" dreamblade. | | | |

| I'm interested. It would depend on the night, though.

| | Great Idea !!! But like others, it would depend upon which night of the week and at what time (since I'm sure many of us live in different time zones). Also, I'm not sure if every week could be committed to. If it could be worked out I would play as many of the weekly tournaments as possible. One last humble suggestion: please consider registration of the warband, especially if it were for the whole season. Definitely each week for that night would seem for sure. However, I am relatively new and am constantly tweaking my bands based upon how they play and the new things I learn. I would like the option of trying out any changes each week at the weekly tournament if it seems fit. But I'm flexible and open to what seems overall best. All in All, this is a great idea, thanks. I'm in if it works out for my schedule. | | | |

| Ok, I think this is how we will run things:
Everyone will sign up. I will prepare the schedule, week-by-week. Each week, each player will either PLAY a game or JUDGE a game. It is up to the players and judge to schedule a time WITHIN that week (a week being from 12am Sunday until 11:59pm the following Saturday) to play the game. The Judge will be responsible for reporting the match outcome to me, and I will keep a running thread with standings and such.
Sound good? | | | |

| | Oh, and I was assuming each player would register his or her warband at the start of a "season" and use only that warband. Any ideas on if we should allow piece subbing and if so, how we go about doing it fairly? | | | |

| | I think maybe each new round you could change pieces, make it like an edge format, you cant changes pieces during a tournament/round whatever, but after/before a new round/tournament you can change pieces. | | | |

How about each player submitting a list of say, 20 or 24 minis. Then, after viewing their opponent's list, they're allowed to build a 16 piece band to play the match.
Would we be playing our opponents one match, or the best 2 out of 3? If 2 out of 3, perhaps we could be allowed to sub in up to a certain number of minis between rounds.

| I like your first idea, Whip - you register 20 minis at the start of the season. Before the game starts, the Judge checks that your band consists only of the minis on that list. That allows people to make tweaks from week to week based on the league's "meta".
I think we should stick to one match, for the first season at least.

| Blacksnake Whip -
Yes, sorry, I forgot that part.
EVERYONE WHO SIGNS UP: Please post your 20 figure Warband List to this thread by next Saturday at Noon CST (I believe that's GMT - 6).
Aztecblue -
You're signed up. I will release a schedule every week. One out of every three weeks, you will serve as Judge for one match.
Everyone -
Can I play in the league? I think I can, as long as I keep all information a matter of public record.

| duel - you get to have twenty PIECES on your list. This is a list of the EXACT twenty "minis" with which you will be building your team from week to week.
For example, currently, my list would look like this: 1. Cannibal Pariah 2. Cannibal Pariah 3. Lord Slobber 4. Clawclan Scout 5. Pearlthorn Castle 6. Walking Worms 7. Scarab Warcharm 8. Scarab Warcharm 9. Scarab Warcharm 10. Cyclopean Sprite 11. Butcher 12. Butcher 13. Knight of Autumn Gate 14. Mujina 15. Voodoo Manipulator 16. Toxic Sludger 17. Slaughterwheel 18. Slaughterwheel 19. Toxic Sludger 20. Eater of Hope
My warband MUST be made from ONLY these twenty pieces. Make sense?
As far as Anvilborn, I think we will wait until Season 2 to make it League legal. Depending on how many players we get by next Friday, the season may only be six weeks long. If we get a bunch of people, we will discuss adding Anvilborn pieces to lists mid-season.

| | GenCon is a gaming convention in Indianapolis, IN, USA. It is in August and yes, it is the location of the 50K. I go every year and will be there for the whole convention. I thought if other members of the League are going, we could get together and play. Too bad you guys can't make it, it's a really good time. | | | |

| Hey Blue...I don't have enough points to play in the 50K either...I think Scud is just saying that those of us who are going to be at gencon could just plan to get together sometime to play. GenCon lasts 4 days, so surely we can all fit in a time to meet with our online league friends.

| Zumbii - You've been added to the league.
Aztecblue - EllieSue is right, I was suggesting that anyone from the league that was planning on attending GenCon should let me know and I will try to set up some time for us to get together and game.
stkcrsh - it'll be hard to set up for Saturday/Sunday at GenCon, 'cause that's when the 50K happens and I'll be all qualified and stuff. I'll see what I can finagle. We can at least all meet up.
