| Hiya - I'd like to be in on this league. I'll post up a list tomorrow.
Arcticblue - There will be upwards of 15,000 people at Gencon for 4 days for every type of game you can possibly imagine and more.Â
Whip - I'd bet good money there will be more than one opportunity to gain points before the 50k. It will probably start on Sat. morning around 10am and wont be over til probably late 10-11pm. then the Finals will be Sunday with the top finishers. Thursday and Friday will probably be chock full of events that will gain you some points. I haven't had a chance to look at the Events catalog for Gencon yet so I am not certain how it will go but I bet someone here or at the WotC forums will know. | | | |

| Scud a little heads up but i will not have acess to internet for an unknown period of time beginning about wednesdayish, probably going for a week, round 1 should be no problem but week 2 might be a problem if i still do not have internet, so a heads up i may be defaulting a round or two.
I'll try to be around if possible but dont count on it too much.

| EllieSue - The first games will occur between tomorrow (Sunday April 15th) and next Saturday (Saturday, April 21). It will be up to you to schedule your game with your opponent and your judge.

| if everyone is in agreement - Id like to suggest that we dispense with the judge requirement on this league. It seems to be a bit too complicated to get three people in the same place at the same time multiple times a week.  Anyone with more thoughts on this? | | | |

| James D - Thespian and I have decided to try and play our match tomorrow night at 9pm Central with Tuesday at 9pm central as a backup time.
Hopefully by then we will have heard from you and/or judges will not be necessary as decided by Scud-O and the members of this league (see my previous post above).

| I agree with this. Most people here are pretty honest and easy going.  Judges are a bit redundant at this point. I can certainly see it being used for some "playoffs" or something with a little more on the line, but if it is just a regular game, no judge would be fine. Besides, there are always people popping in and out if we need some rules clarification. we can always ask an observer.....and maybe make it more casual by saying that if you are on, and you are not playing, maybe make yourself available to watch a game and be ready to give your opinion on any conflicts might arise.Â
In the end though, getting two peoples schedules together is tough enough, and getting three together a lot tougher and I think it is unnecessary AT THIS POINT....I would certainly want a judge in the "finals" however they look like. | |

| | Someone suggested to me that the role of the judge is not so much to settle disputes as to report results of the match to Scud-O. I have no objection to dispensing with the judges if it's alright with Scud-O, but if he decides to keep them I'll do my best to be present at matches I'm assigned to. I'd just hate to see a match not take place just because the judge wasn't available. As someone else stated, people are popping in and out of games -- come to think of it, I can't remember ever playing a game where one or two people haven't popped in to watch and chat (which is great). | | | |
