Given the recent info on Wizard's and online sellers and the focus on the brick and mortar stores I've decided to run a little poll to see how many of your local stores run events.
Chose as many of the options that are apropriate to the store nearest to you/the one you frequent the most often.

| I'm fortunate that my FLGS runs several events in the course of a month on Wedensdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Turnout for everything but D&D minis is still on the light side but having options of games to play is always a nice thing.

| There isn't much of a gaming community where I live. The FLGS is mostly a comics store with gaming as a sideline. It hosts an occasional Warhammer 40K or Magic the Gathering tournement, but nothing regular. I tried demoing AAM there thinking I could maybe interest at least the Warhammer players, but no luck. The store sells DDM but to roleplayers, not to skirmish players.

| My local FLGS has been running Magic events for many months and some other games.Â
To date they have run only 1 DDM event - a WotDQ Sealed event, DCI sanctioned. But he desperately wants to run more of them. In fact he / we are planning on running an event sometime in the next few weeks. My local FLGS is rated #1 in DDM sales and is top rated with Wotc based on his miniature sales. He now wants to get bigger and really start having some DDM events.Â
I really hope to grow our local DDM community.Â

| | The Hobbytowns in my area run Warhammer, Warhammer 40k, and Heroclix a couple of times a week each. One of them plays Star Wars once a week but it is not sanctioned. | | Evil triumphs when good men fail their morale saves. | |

| | They only run Warhammer and M:TG. I've contacted WotC to be a delegate, but I have not received a response. I would like to see some DDM/SWM/DBM/AAM action around here. | | Originally posted by Schooly_D Username - he deals in minis Champion of Lhesh Haruuc Shaarat'kor | |

| On the other hand there is a FLGS that is exactly a 1 hour drive away that is holding DDM every other week (200 pt one week and then 500 pt two weeks later). They are building a nice DDM community there with between 10-20 people showing up for these events.Â
I'm glad I'm only 1 hr drive away, it allows me to possibly make it there once a month.Â

| My store runs tournies/campaigns for all the major Paint your minis Tactical Games. They of course run the mandatory MtG tournaments. DDM is locally much less popular than SWM (understandable considering the age groups involved), so DDM in an organized involves me browbeating others into playing. DB has become quite popular locally.
I would happily drive an hour to play games (I drive 25 minutes now), if the destination were a friendly, inclusive place.
My store owners asked WotC if they could nominate Delegates from the local players that worked at teaching the games, WotC decided that they would rather choose their own delegates based on an arcane and unfathomable internal selection process. | | Nothing realy in my area DDM or SWM wise. There's the pre-releases at TJ's in Milford. Other than that I've had little luck finding SWM or DDM events let alone any Wotc events. | | Pathetic Earthlings. | I've never seen DDM games being run. But I did see a D&D game being
run the other week for the first time. Usually they just run Magic or
Warhammer type games.

| | My FLGS is just starting to run SWM tourrnaments, and there may be interest in DDM, but I think I'd have to run them and I already have enough on my plate without doing that. | | Completed trades: blackthorne, Drakkengi,Thorgrin, Ironfist Boulderbender x2, ckissee, nasamonkey, Username, Star, Ace13 x3, emontedodger x2, Drconveyor, church, Joeyb, Sir Bozak The Damned, Xeromod, the other guy x2, Qucalion of Celene, Dagaron x2, berus316, qillan_dvra, AshloreDarkShadow

| Typical month will include: Friday Night Magic MTG tournament every Saturday Wednesday night MTG drafts DDM 200 - 1-2x month DDM 500 1/month DDM booster drafts (2x-3x per release) SWM 1/month Warhammer running tournaments DDM & SWM league every month (typically Monday nights most play) DReamblade Edge Tourneys (4x month) and now Horrorclix to start up.
Basically if we the players express an interest - they will try and find a way to accomodate us and if we have the numbers in players showing up the events will be favorably supported. | | Champion of Cyclops

| Hey there Jacksonm,
I hope that I got the answers correct in the poll (since we frequent the same store).
As has been noted, lots of activity at the store.
Cheers

| It's nice to see there are a few really good gamestores out there supporting their product with events. I do consider myself lucky that I'm near one that does.
Still, it looks like Wizards has some work to do in promoting events in some local markets.

| With so many posters counting the same FLGS these poll results can't be considered accurate. If one well connected and highly active store gets votes from six members who happen to be part of that community it really skews the results from three widely scattered posters who don't have a FLGS or one that runs any kind of evens.
To Illustrate the problem: By Member: Six great and highly active stores vs. three without store support. This shows that FLGS are very good for the game and common. 6 good vs 3 bad. vs. By Store: One active store vs. three that don't support the game or organized play. This is a more accurate picture of how much support stores provide. 1 good vs. 3 bad.

| I never claimed this was a scientific poll, it's pretty limited by the way they're set up in the software.
The fact that a few people have posted in the negative shows that there is some work to be done by Wizards on the grassroots level.

| | My LGS runs SWM tournies on Saturdays... the turnout is starting to dwindle a bit but there is still prize support as long as we get at least four players. Better than nothing. | | | |
