| | With 4E right around the corner they've started putting out promotional materials to the stores. Today FedEx dropped off a package containing the usual posters, counter toppers, etc that they sometimes are want to do but I was quite surprised to pull out a copy of 4E's Keep On The Shadowfell.
I have not had time to look through the actual adventure, but the way they put the package together was well thought out. After removing the shrink wrap it unfolds like a folder with pockets going vertical on each side. One side holds the soft cover adventure booklet while the other holds quick start rules for 4E and 3 double sided maps for the adventure itself. (These maps also look to be interchangeable for DDM.)
Unfortunately I'm not in a place to get pictures up but hopefully this evening I'll be able to spread out everything and post them here.

| Some of those maps look real familar :)
Though odd to see without the skimrish lines (start area. victory area etc). Will be very cool to have some like that for RPG.
And seeing tree icons etc on them. Its almost deva ju but not really.

| No promo minis with this dousing...I expect to receive my pile of Games Day stuff a week before the event....will take pictures and get them up before the event if I can. It's good to be a troll...oh yeah.

| I noticed that on the maps with all the symbols, some of the terrain (images) that seem like they ought to be terrain (for skirmish purposes), that there aren't symbols where it seems like there should be.

| Our store has got the minis for the game day. Not shadowfell stuff but ...
ALso havent had chance to photo op them but large bag of monsters with what looks like large white dragon, skellies, hob goblin masrhals.
Plus a PC mini for each of the five characters. | |
