| On the 1st and 2nd of November, Game '08 will be hosting the European Challenge Cup. It'll be a slightly different format from most games - stealing from the Czech Championships - in that the best player of 2 tournaments wins the prize of a flight to DnD XP. The two tournaments are a standard constructed on the Saturday and a pre-release of Demonweb on the Sunday. Best overall placed player is the cup champion. www.gamecon.co.uk for bookings. | |

| At last count we're getting a nice international selection of players including Brits, Italians, Czechs, Dutch and possibly Germans, Americans and Swedes. The French seem to be playing locally, but not at an international level - so... probably none from there, nor Spain. Mayb Serbia (Sammael?). This seems to the the only major international DDM event in Europe this year. Let's have a party!!! | Would love to be there, but already going to MTG GP in Paris in october, so i wont have money for it. Well, guess that no will be no one from Portugal there this year :p
BTW, the site isnt very explicit, but what are the prizes besides the flight?

| | It was supposed to be an Eye of Flame, but I just had a call from Wizards letting me know that they have no more budget to spend on it. So, we're down to boosters, a full set of one of the recent DDM sets, some crystal trophies and promo figures, plus any prizes that the community might bring. | |

| It's starting to take shape nicely, although not as big as 2007 or 2006.
We have players from:
Germany
Holland
Czechia
England
Italy
so far - hope we see more coming :) There's nothing like the excitement of a European Cup to liven things up :)
