First thoughts:
I'm looking forward to see the troglodytes.
I'm happy to get a green kuo-toa.
I'm glad to see two drakes, since these seem very common enemies in LFR.

Another bear? Another deathlok? goblin of loth? devils I never heard of!, Troglodytes (which look terrible in 4th ed.), a metal trap sigh. Man I was pumped about this set and excited about to see what has not been known. The phase spider and the Sarcophagus (which might pass as a mimic depends on pic)are the only news ones that jump out at me. Where are the minis of monsters that have been around since the 70s that have not been done yet? I sooner see a flumph!(sp?) | |

6. Infernal Armor c - interested
8. Tiefling Cleric of Asmodeus u - a waste since I don't use Tieflings, but may be a good bad guy down the road
10. Deathgrasp Sarcophagus u - very interested in seeing this
11. Drow Adventurer (nice pose, grasping a scimitar with both hands) u - got lots of drow but we'll see
13. Lolthbound Goblin c - got lots of goblins but we'll see
14. Runespiral Demon c - a common demon, hmmm? looking forward to it
17. Soulrider Devil u - as above
18. Deathlock Wight c - the last wight was only meh, don't really need more but hmmm
20. Drow Assassin (another nice pose) c - more drow hmmm
26. Phaseweb Spider u - got lots of spiders
28. Gnoll Demon Adept u - sounds way cool. should be excellent
32. Bugbear Strangler (looks male) u - could be a nice addition

So, I have to agree overall a lot of stuff we already have, but some new ideas in there that I'm looking forward to seeing.
Obviously can't score it til we see them.
Still a month away though, so I'm kinda surprised about the poster being out so soon. | |

The grinning imp is, indeed, cool looking but the Infernal Armor, however, is sort of comical in appearance.
I don't use tieflings in my campains, but the Tiefling Cleric will show up as a villain at some point.
The Deathgrip Sarcophagus is a big, sinister-looking box, lol; nice dungeon dressing.
Drow Adventurer and Drow Assassin are nice either as a pc mini or an npc. The Lolthbound Goblin as backward bending knees, like a gnoll, and I can't figure out wtf the Runespiral Demon is supposed to be, but the Soulrider Devil has a sort of Egyptian look, imho.
Deathlock wights are common, 'nuff said!
The Phaseweb Spider is...odd; I can't describe it.
I don't like the exaggerated look that 4E gnolls have acquired, so I can't say much good about the Gnoll Demon Adept; the Bugbear Strangler is sort of blah looking.
The Scythejaw is another good dungeon dressing piece for rpg.
Meh, on the Warforged Battle Captain.
The corruption Corpse is standing, reaching out and looking all green and gooey.
I like the Guard Drake; gonna get a few to use as a pack of raptors for lost world encounters.
Both Trogs are meh, and the Dire Bear is posed similarly to the Cave Bear.

There's a load of stuff there that I don't want, but I'm excited by the number of 'dungeon dressing' features.
After the disappointments of the rescult frenzy of the last few/many sets, I'm pleased with this new development.
The sarcophagus and trap sound great, and I'm already pleased with the preview of the mushroom. The human bandit looks fun, and might even do as a noncombatant.
Overall, slim pickings for me - I have so many minis already - but still a few for me to look forward to. Better than the last few sets, even without seeing all the pictures. | |
